Deanna - Thanks for posting this! Someone on another forum was talking up her book so I'm going to have to read it. The auther of Primal Body, Primal Mind does phone consults, too, but put it on hold because she got overwhelmed by the response.

Hi Karen, Gelatin is not only good for your skin, but also your hair and joints. It has been known to heal serious back problems. There are plenty of great reviews and miracle stories on Amazon on Knox Gelatin. I'm a firm believer in gelatin powder myself, so I've been making my own jello. It's so fun and easy. 2 cups of juice in the microwave for 5 minutes; add a packet of Knox gelatin and stir to dissolve. Stick it in the fridge, and voila! An appetizing, light dessert that has great health benefits too. I don't know what it does for endometriosis, but I wanted to share gelatin's other effects with my friend, who has endo. I don't have it myself, but I landed on this thread trying to find out if gelatin was safe for her to ingest. A lot of the stronger medicines can cause hair loss, and she has such pretty hair... thought the jelly would be nice for that. Plus, now that she is limited from so many foods, it'll be nice to be able to add even just one more snack to the list. Anyways, thanks to this thread, I was able to give her some packets of Knox. It's only ingredient is gelatin, so it should be alright. Thanks!

Karen, you mentioned that the Gelatin/bone broth helped with the bloating. Did it improve digestion as well? Ive read that it can improve bloating/diegstive issues but I dont understand the logic behind it. Not that logic matters, if it helps...........I would buy it by the truckload.

If I had actual bone broth, elimination was much quicker and complete. Gelatin didn't have the same effect. But for me, helping with the bloat was priceless!
I'm going to make a beef broth this weekend. Found a great butcher nearby with great prices, including bones. My coop's prices were way too much...
