Tomorrow makes 1 year since I was rushed to ER with severe stomach pain. Never forget the dr coming in at 5 in the morning after the xrays. I am sorry it looks like it is cancer. It has spread to your lymph nodes. You need chemo and radiation. At only 34 I was scared to death. Xrays showed 3 tumor like masses in my intestines and in my colon. It caused a bowel obstruction. For 3 days they treated me with antibiotics to try to move the blockage. I got worse. They operated and it wasn't cancer. I got the official diagnosis of stage 4 Endometrosis. Spent 13 days in the hospital. Lots of complications. A colostomy which I had for 6 months. Very devestating and hard to live with. Lost my left ovary and a foot of my colon and some of my rectum as well. Colostomy was reversed on march 16th but not fully due to scar tissue. So temp ileostomy for 9 weeks. Had that reversed on may 18th. After 8 and half months no more bag. Finally have my life back. Took my last injection of Lupron on July 23rd. Had been on it since Oct. Still no period yet even though it is over 6 weeks. We will begin to try to conceive after our wedding dec 2nd.

You've had quite the journey. I can't imagine how hard it has been going through what you've been through. I'm so glad you have your wedding to look forward too. Hope things continue to go well for you. You deserve it.

I have been thinking about you since I stopped frequenting the board a while back. I'm glad to hear you got rid of the bag and can now live as "normally" as any of us can. Congrats and good luck!

today was a bit emotional though. As I worked today and the store was full of people pushing baby strollers and pregnant women. of course I don't know for sure that I can't have kids despite the severe level my disease had gotten. Still waiting for my period to come. It has been 7 weeks since my last Lupron injection. My fiancee and I haven't always been careful. but was told the chances of getting pregnant on Lupron was almost zero. I asked the nurse and she said she never heard anyone getting pregnant on Lupron. so I am sure that is not the case. just wish my period would come though so I can get the green light to start trying this December.
