I think the marathon is a good thing! I swear our eggs sense if we're stressed out. LOL. Some time away from all this might be good. You are definitely committed to TTC. There's no question about that. I actually really enjoy the fact that you need a well balanced life. I say have a little fun for a while and then who knows! Maybe the baby will come along when you're not even thinking about it!

Well, we'll still be trying, I'll keep temping, so we'll see what happens. This last period has really been bad, I think my colon is pretty well attached to other things and i have some ither pain, so it has me pretty down. I need to feel like I have control of something- even though I complain about running and try to get out of it some nights, in the end it makes me feel better about my body!

Remind me, have you ever tried pelvic PT? If you're looking for control over something - and running isn't quite enough, I would highly recommend it, especially if you think things are stuck back together. Maybe now isn't the best time if you need a break from things, but if you're feeling the yucky effects of endo, might be something to look into?

I was thinking of it. I was considering a few months ago when I had that weird back/side pain for a bit, but it resolved (I think it was adhesions) with some stretching and massage. The problem is that my pain has usually been during my period, so I don't know how to know if it's helping without waiting a month or two. My other thought was limiting gluten a bit- since I can't eat a good number of veggies usually without gastro distress I have been very wary of ditching my "safe foods" like bread. Sigh. I really think a good vacation would help! Lol!

Trust me, you would likely know if it was helping right away! If anything, it is something to keep in your back pocket.
And, yes, a vacation sounds like a good idea!

Semi, I thought that gluten was my "safe food" too (pasta and the big couscous, especially). When I got off of them, I realized how much it was the gluten making me sick. Not saying it would be the same for you, but just offering the experience.
I hope you enjoy training for the marathon.

Oh, and keep in mind that there ARE GF alternatives to bread, pasta, etc.! If you're worried what you'll be able to eat if you give up gluten, there are many, many substitutes available.

UDIS, the best gluten free bread in the world! It has truly been my lifesaver. ;D They even have hot dog buns and hamburger buns, so cool!

oh man, I HATED the UDI's bagels!!!! Maybe their other stuff is better. I make my own bread for the most part--it's been fun to experiment with the other flours, actually.

So I finally had a follow up with my obgyn yesterday, and it was not gret news. After looking at the x-rays again from the Hsg he seems pretty convinced there must be some scarring near the ovary. He wants me to see a fertility specialist, which I will do but I'm not too excited about this. I'm frustrated because the Hsg was a month ago and his first impression was that it wasnt that bad. The only real way to know is another lap to look, but there is no way I will do another surgery right now. We will keep trying, because things might still be working, but that was a crummy afternoon.
