I'm taking ... 1) centrum 2) B-complex 3) cranberry capsules 4) Omega-3 complex 5) rosehips and hibiscus tea (just started taking today) 6) olive oil vaginally (2x's daily and also as a lubricant)
and I am going to talk to my gyn. or a homeopath about taking Black Cohosh. It has phytoestrogens in it, which are similar to human estrogens, and since I don't want to go back on the birth control pill and am looking for natural remedies, I'm hoping that the natural estrogens would compete for the estrogen receptors the same way that the estrogens in the birth control pills do--and then my body won't produce as much estrogen. I've used black cohosh in the past when I wouldn't have a period for 4 or 5 months, and it always made me have my period. I don't' know. Maybe I will talk to my old homeopath and see what he says. I'll definitely consult someone first before I start taking them again.

I am taking multi-vitamins, plus vitex berries and red raspberry in capsule form. I haven't been taking the herbs long enough to know if they work or not; I've always heard that you should give them 2-3 months and I'm on the second month for the vitex and the first month for the raspberry. I'm going to add wild yam next, and I'm also using natural progesterone cream (again, I haven't been using it long enough to be able to report if it works). I think I'm also going to try black cohosh, after reading that article you posted! I'm not taking any particular vitamins in supplements, but I'm trying to eat foods that have vitamins A, C, E, and B as much as possible. I've heard that it's better to get those things through food as much as possible. Do you feel liek any of the things you're taking are helping you?

I normally take One A Day Active Women multi-vitamin. Right now I am not taking anything, until I get used to the new hormone replacements and talk to the doctor. I am just being careful about what I eat.

hi, erzulie. I have noticed a marked difference as far as the B-vitamins are concerned. i have added these supplements and vitamins one at a time, hoping to be able to tell what makes a difference and what doesn't. i noticed on the B-vitamins that I had a big reduction in stress and mood swings. I'm taking a cheaper Wal-Mart version now, but the best B vitamin I found was Mega B-Stress by vitamin company Soloray. However, Soloray is pretty pricey...but so worth it! I might go back to them. I don't know. I'll let you know how the cohosh goes. I know there is black cohosh, blue cohosh, and white cohosh. I only have experience w/ the black cohosh. Sorry for rambling. bye for now

Thanks for the tip about the B vitamins. I've heard them mentioned before several times, but I've always ignored it. So, I'll soon be adding that to my already obsessive list: multivitamins-liquid capsules calcium-magnesium capsules Organic Noni juice Organic Flaxseed oil Trace Minerals liquid Progesterone cream Castor oil packs CleanseSmart Detox Kit (has many herbs) herbal capsules: vitex berries horsetail Wild/Mexican yam burdock root echinacea, goldenseal I'm probably forgetting something. My last trip to the health store cost me $150 bucks! Tomorrow I'm starting Essiac Tea.

I'm taking ... 6) olive oil vaginally (2x's daily and also as a lubricant) I've never heard of this. What is "olive oil vaginally" supposed to do on a daily basis (other than lubricate)?"

hi, meka. olive oil has been used for thousands of years as a lubricant, and it also has wonderful healing properties. my gyne. finally realized that i have a lot of allergies to chemicals, so he told me no lubricants other than olive oil. i realized that using olive oil vaginally as a lubricant helped so much with trying to get my tissues "rehydrated" after being on the pill continuously so long and was a great therapy for me, so i started applying olive oil vaginally 2x's daily, in addition to using it as a lubricant...but now after about 3 weeks, i don't need it everyday. my tissues feel about 99% better! so now, i am just using olive oil as a lubricant..but i also started shaving with it! my legs haven't felt this smooth since the first time i shaved! ;D

Olive oil to shave with. hmmm. That would definitely make you smooth and hydrated. Never thought of that. You always have good ideas.

I always have weird ideas! Hehe! I'm totally obsessed w/ olive oil now. We learned in my audiology classes how good olive oil is for the ear canal, but I never really gave it a thought to use it for everything else, too!

I tried using the progesterone cream. The first month I used it, my skin broke out worse than I have ever seen it. The second month I tried it, my period wouldn't stop...I bled for 4 weeks straight...Hvy! I quit using it and have been fine since. Has anyone else had this experience? I also was wondering if any of you have tried Fertility Blend. I take it daily. Stanford did a study on it....suppose to help with endo.

I've used progesterone cream. I had no skin reaction. I didn't notice any change at all, but I only used it consistantly for 2 months. I plan to start back with a new brand (I keep hearing about Pro-Gest) and stick with it for longer.

PRogesterone needs to be evenly balanced through a custom prescription place. over the counter stuff may not be consistant..thus different reactions. I had great success with it.
