Hi there,
I have endometriosis grade 4. So far, I´ve had a laparoscopy and after going on a vegan-no sugar-diet I've been fine. Last year got pregnant, but sadly, I had a miscarriage at month 3. This was almost a year ago. anyways, my cuestion is: my gynecologist wants me to have a virtual Hysterosalpingography, wich includes some radiation, and my concern is that may afect my fertility... She says is perfectly safe, but you know how doctors are... She even says that a lot of women get pregnant cause some stuff that may be in the ovaries can be clean this way... I don't know, and I'm kinda scared cause she says is uncomfortable or a little bit painful. Oh well, if any of you had it already and can give me some advice, I will apreciate it. Thanks for reading! (and sorry for my English, but is not my first language!)

Your English is better than some native speakers I know of! I'm afraid I can't really advise, as I've never had one.
Would you like to pop on to the Introduction board and post your intro thread so we can get to know you a little better?

Hi Mirix! I had the HSG test, it was uncomfortable, but not so bad... I want to have another one, to see what my tubes look like after my surgery in October!
If I have another one, I will take a pain killer and a xanax before. But it doesn't hurt as much as I thought it would, and really is an amazing test. You can SEE your uterus and fallopian tubes clearly! Really very beautiful and informative. Don't be scared...
and, welcome to the board! Pretty.. ps your english is lovely, dear!

Hi, everyone! I had the HSG (virtual) made today, and I was very, very nervous, I even broke the speculum! But turned out that my tubes are clear! And didn't heart much. Well, but what they told me was that I have a bicornate uturus, wich is not very good though. Just wanted to thank U for your support. Blessings!

Awesome! I'm glad it didn't hurt badly, and you've just learned something about your insides so that's good right?
THanks for posting! Pretty

What I don't understand is: How come my surgeon didn't see that when he did the laparoscopy? Can that be possible? Well, I'm so disappointed about doctors... We all want to make money, right? But when you play with someone's health... I think that should be the limit.

WOW a bicornuate uterus! I have only heard of the unicornuate uterus. Have you ever had a kidney ultrasound before? Sometimes uterine abnormalities like this go hand and hand with kidney abnormalities. It doesn't mean your kidneys are bad, you just may have an odd shape or only one.
Did the doctor tell you that this is why you miscarried? I'm glad you had the procedure! Maybe you have some answers now!

I haven't seen my gyno yet, cause I have to wait until april 12th to have the results, have an MRI the same day and then I can see my Doc. The Doctor that did the HSG told me about the bicornuate uterus, he looked so excited about it! The same place offered me a free MRI, since they do research on diagnosis, and is one of the bests of Latin America. They developed the virtual HSG, actually. I'm very anxious but I'll try not to be on the internet much researching about it, cause can be confusing and discouraging. I'll talk to my doc about my kidneys, though!
