chicagogal, sorry you are feeling that way about your chiropractor. Maybe there is another one you can try instead of the one you are already seeing?
Welp, I heard back from the nurse at my Dr's office today. She apologized for taking so long to get back to me said she's been busy with cancellations and rescheduling, etc. due to the all the snow etc. we've been having. I told her it was no problem. So, she proceeds by telling me she spoke to my Dr. and as far as the adhesions go, the reason she did not remove them is because she was "not equipped" to do that. Hmmm...I distinctly remember the exact conversation where I asked her if she would be able to remove any adhesions she found from my previous gallbladder surgery and she very swiftly and confidently said yes. What exactly does she mean she was not "equipped" to handle it? Did she not have the necessary equipment in the OR to remove an adhesion? So what if I had some attaching my ovaries to my abdominal wall...would she not have been "equipped" to handle that either? Then she said she also didn't feel they significant enough to be removed. Really B*TCH? Then why is it I had told you a few times that I can distinctly FEEL PAIN in that EXACT area. Is that not "significant" enough to warrant removal of the adhesions? After I asked that question, the nurse said that maybe she felt that she didn't want to remove them from that area...Okay, I can accept that as a reasonable reply (as she is an Ob/Gyn surgeon) had she not told me in advance it would be no issue and then LIED to me about what she found when I point blanked asked if she found any adhesions in that area and she told me "NO".
Then I moved on to asking why she didn't remove any of the endo at all? And, why she gave me the impression that some was removed and that she just couldn't get "all" of it. Her nurse said that she had a reason for that but the explanation was too technical for her to convey so if I wanted, I could go back in and she could discuss everything with me and explain what was done or not done during surgery and go over the reports with me. Um, I'm sorry but isn't that what was ALREADY supposed to happen at my POST-OP appointment? I told her I was sorry that she was the messenger in this whole situation and that the Dr. really should have called me back herself if the answers to my week long questions were too technical for her to convey. I also told her that I saw no reason for me to go back there to listen to a ton of b.s. she was going to feed me when she had the perfect opportunity to tell me all of this when I was there the first time. She told me she completely understands and she figured that's what I would say. I told her at this point I was just going to go see a different doctor as I do NOT trust this dr at all anymore. She also said she completely understands that as well. I asked her if I could get my medical records and if there would be any charge for them and she told me given the circumstances she was not going to charge me and asked me to send her a letter of authorization for my records to be faxed to me. So, I did that about two hours ago. And, that's all she wrote.
I really got the sense that the nurse agreed with me and felt the Dr. was wrong as well. That's why she kept agreeing with me and is going to send me my records for free.
