Thanks darl. Here in Australia, the docs dont really categorise our endo in stages. However, I know from all my readings that I am clearly stage 4 too! Several years I have dealt with this for. 5 surgery's...... a lot of dramas...... However, iv never suffered from the pain as much as I do at the moment. Iv never cried this much about it..... My next surgery is stressing the hell out of me.... I get angry coz im only 26 and im thinking, theres no way Im goin to do this endo diet for another few decades! Fat chance! Id honestly rather not be here. Look, i think im just having a bad bad bad week! I just wanna be sleeping like i used to, having no pain, and working. NOthing is right at the moment. And its the first time in my life that i am truly unhappy! Thanku for writing to me. And sorry if i sound negative, but Im just so damn over this sh*t.

I guess that's all totally valid Chan, and honey we all go there sometimes. I've been depressed about endo a lot lately too. For me the struggle is in thinking of myself; I resist identifying as a victim of anything, but sometimes it sure feels like it. One of the reasons I choose to follow the diet, is although it is inconvenient and frankly strange sometimes, is that I am able to choose it and implement it myself. THe fact that it helps me is frankly secondary to my having control of it. With endo all your control goes out the window. I choose this for me becuase it gives me a little, tiny, bit of control back. Yeah, it's not delicious all the time.... lol Hey Chan, no rice milk over there eh? I can also recommend almond milk or oat milk. Almond is tastier

Thanks pretty! Im going to have to check the super-market next time and suss out this milk stuff. For all i know, we might have it, but iv never acknowledged it nor ever noticed it my entire life. I think what is also freakin me out is the fact that my boyfriend suffers from bipiolar (manic). He is awesome and I love him etc, however dating him is stressful........ And then i read all this info about endo in which it states that stress makes it worse, and im left thinking- well, am i meant to walk away from my rship too! However, i like to think that these days the docs say that stress makes everything worth. However, lately i think I wonder if my endo would be better if I didnt have a stressful partner.......... And then on the flip side, by the time I think about this stuff, it stresses me out more. lol....... and then i cry. Grrrrrrrr!

Chan I totally feel you. My hubby has serious health issues (broken back, metal rod in back, broken neck, bad knees, and cluster headaches every single day) and also seems to have PTSD around anger issues and is totally useless to me at times. I've had to be pretty creative to get my emotional support needs met but after a year of this we're sort of balancing out. I wouldn't break up with him but there have been a lot of times I've just totally walked away. Anyhow I know how upsetting it is to have all these problems at once, and all I can say, is pace yourself, set little goals and meet them, and reward yourself and your partner, don't forget to smell the roses.... me and Warren seem to be really cherishing our good times, anymore, so that's something we learned to do together. On the up side, too, my changing my diet has really helped his health as well. Anyhow, one step at a time k!

WOW! You also have a lot to deal with! I sometimes think does God just like to test the strong ones. I mean, I know a lot of girls that if they were in my position or yours, there is no chance that they would be able to cope. Girls are girls and we somehow are born to care for our men and in times act like their mothers. However, i just crack the sh*ts sometimes coz i think, -why do i have to ask for a frickin hug, or y do i have to ask u to rub my lower back and down my leg-....... CANT YOU FRICKING JUST HAVE THE SAME CONSIDERATION AND THOUGHFULNESS AND COMMON SENSE THAT I DO TO YOU! But i guess thats most men huh!....DUMB! HEHEHE! I sometimes think, to all those lesbians out there...... they are the smart ones! ...... dating the same sex as yourself.... in that way...... the standards would always be met! lol

LOL you are so funny. You know, I've considered dating a girl if I ever ended in divorce. HAHA but then the whole sex things reminds me that I like men.
I'm totally in the same boat you are with having a stressful relationship. I have been through quite a lot in my marriage. And when my endo symptoms were at its worst is when my marraige was at its worst. On a positive note, we have improved great lengths since then and now when I have pain, it's not as difficult to deal with because I have a more supportive partner.
I guess what I'm saying is, yes a relationship can make things harder! And I still struggle with that "need to ask for a hug/kiss/back rub." It sucks but I guess that's just men. We have an awesome men rant thread! Maybe we can go over there and have a nice long man bashing session! HAHA!
Anyways, about the diet. The best advice I can give is to at least try some things. Try cutting things out one at a time and pace yourself. I tried to crash endo diet and I burnt out really fast. I had to start all over again and cut things out slowly. Now I'm finally seeing some success and it's not as difficult as my first attempt. I'm not completely on the endo diet yet but I have made some huge improvements.

Good job J, it's worth it when you feel the differences! Chan I ask my hubby straight out for what I need. He then sometimes complies, and sometimes he doesn't, but at least I don't sit there pissed off and passive aggressive! LOL You guys I have a really hard time with the diet, too. I get to the store, and I'm hungry, and sometimes I feel like theres NOTHING I can eat! So, that's when I grab a salad. At home, I can't think of what to cook - so I start with rice or rice noodles and try to add a protien and some veg and just EAT IT. there are good days and bad days. I'm not saying it's easy, I'm just saying it's WORTH IT (to me) becuase I don't miss laying on the bathroom floor, sobbing in pain, each and every month, like clockwork! I don't miss sitting on the toilet for an hour, feeling like I need to take a huge crap, but nothing comes out. I don't miss peeing every 20 minutes, a tiny bit, and then still feeling like I have to pee when I'm done. I don't miss sugar headaches or bloating. I do, however, miss chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. I miss iced lattes with vanilla and real milk. I miss a big rare steak! so what I do is, I cheat. I have wheat free brownies, I have iced americanos with agave and a tiny bit of real cream. I have a couple bites of Warren's steak, and I feel ok.

I've kind of had to go off the diet a bit because I'm losing too much weight again. I'm having an extremely hard time eating well whilst not losing weight. I'm in for surgery in a few weeks and I inevitably lose around 10 lbs every time, and I'm down to 110 right now, so my husband has begged for me to eat 'normal' to gain before my surgery. Anyone have any suggestions??? I was trying to eat an avocado every day on my salad because that has around 20 grams of fat, but lets face it, the endo diet is so healthy and there's barely any fat in it! I eat as many different types of nuts as I can, but I'm kind of running out of options of healthy, full-fat options. I'm back to eating bread and such at the moment, and low and behold I've already gained a little bit back. I'll continue this until the surgery, but could really use some suggestions for when I'm back to it after surgery.

what about corn, bananas, stuff that's high glycemic index but still not wheat? For me sugars are what make me fatter. I wish I had a nutrition degree!

Funny thing is my husband has a Master's in Animal Nutrition and is basically the one force-feeding me pasta and cheese at the moment, LOL! It's basically impossible for someone with my metabolism and work ethic to eat along the lines of the endo-diet and not lose weight, but I'm trying though! It doesn't help that I went off the pill at the same time, so I lost about 5 lbs a piece in each boob and then was eating super-healthified I just need some recipe ideas that are loaded with "healthy" fats and substance. Maybe I'll just drink a pint of olive oil every day.

OO I used to make this pasta with olive oil, fresh basil, tomato, garlic, and mozzerella cheese. Not quite endo friendly with all that cheese but it might help!

Helen yes goats milk and cheeses are allowed 3/24/11 www.womenshealth-naturalsolutions.com/How%20Your%20Diet%20Affects%20Fibroid%20Tumors.htmlI found this article while googling "Pelvic pain and dietary changes"- Pretty How Eating Habits Affect Your Fibroid Tumors, Endometriosis, and Contributes to being Estrogen Dominant! By Kate Clifton, Herbalist Your dietary habits are extremely important in the problems of fibroid tumors and endometriosis. To reduce your fibrioids and reduce the symptoms, You must implement the dietary changes below to feel better. Along with this you must reduce your stress level as well. The following list are high- stress foods that can worsen these problems! #1 Dairy products, regular eggs, chocolate, sugar, alcohol, wheat, pastries, added salt, coffee, caffeine, soda drinks, ham, bacon, beef, lamb, pork, and deserts. Milk Products There are many people out there that are either allergic to milk or cannot digest it properly. Many of the Europeans have this problem. They lack the enzymes to digest milk. Cows Milk is one of the top three foods responsible for food allergies. Corn and Pork are also in that top 3 list. If you are allergic to milk...it results in digestive disturbances such as bloating, gas, and bowel changes, which get much worst before and during your period! Milk allergy can be responsible for 10 to 15 pounds of excess weight. The intolerance to milk and dairy products can hamper the absorption and assimilation of calcium. Why diary products should be AVOIDED by women suffering from PMS, Fibroids, or Endometriosis? Fact: Dairy products are the main dietary source of Arachidonic Acid, the fat used by your body to produce muscle-contracting F2 Alpha Prostaglandins.. These F2 Alpha Prostaglandins can increase pelvic pain, cramps, and inflammaion characteristic of endometriosis. Deleting dairy products can decrease the severity of menstrual cramps and pain by as much as one-third to one-half within one to two menstrual cycles. Milk contains high saturated fat! This is a risk factor for excess estrogen levels in the body! Bacteria in the colon actually convert metabolites of cholesterol to forms of estrogen that can be reabsorbed from the digestive track back into the body. This increases the estrogen level ....which is a trigger for fibroids, endometriosis and accelerates the growth of the fibroids and the progression of both of them...fibroids and endometriosis! Dairy products contribute to being Estrogen Dominant! You can drink Goats Milk. It does not contribute to the estrogen issues and is easy to digest. Its the closest milk to breast milk. If you drink milk, buy milk that is certified organic and contains no hormones or chemicals.
