Yeah, and it will take longer than just overnight to feel better from not eating wheat or dairy. If I (for example) eat wheat and dairy right NOW, I will start feeling abdominal pain over the next hour or so and it will continue for about 3 days. The worst of the pain will be in 2 days or so when I try to have a BM. Just to clarify. I'm going to start another thread showing what I DO eat. Pretty

im getting rid of those evil wheat and dairy foods this week, im sure the diet works, im just having a hard time getting started. the only thing i have gotten rid of is soy, sugar and caffeine. so wheat and dairy are next. its strictly right side pain at this point (about and inch away from my right hip bone) accompanied with cramps. i've noticed it's worse when i lay down at night, and when i get up in the morning, during the day it's steady pain. my gp gave me some tramadol till i see him friday, he was shocked that my gyn doesn't give me any pain meds, he actually seemed a little upset with her, he said "that's a painful disease, and she told you to grin and bear it, WHAT?" i didn't even have to go in, he called it in to a pharmacy right away. so luckily thats helping me a lot, except it makes me nauseous. ill ask about gal bladder stuff to, and appendix, i have both of those still. im so very excited to get my referral to see a specialist. my family seems to think im going overboard seeing a specialist and going on a diet. i wish they understood what im going through. My fiance has bee great through all of this. my family thinks i exaggerate pain problems because they have been going on for years. I just want t be better, im only 21 and i feel like im 50

another question, i've been doing light exercise and some yoga to try to get some strength back (im getting kinda weak lately). I've noticed i stil have a huge problem running at all or even doing a brisk walk,k if i run or walk to far, i get extreme pelvic pain. Once upon a time i had to stop running track and cross country (age 15) because i would get such bad pelvic pain and blood was present in my urine. now i dont have the blood problem anymore because i can't run very far at all. the most i have been able to do is 1/4 of a mile. is this related to endo?

We definitely couldn't tell you that sorry Tara. I'd speak to your doctor, they might be able to do a pelvic exam and try to ascertain the source of the pain. Endo is one of many possible causes. I'd say though, getting back into exercise, be gentle and build up slowly to your best levels, I chose the bike to start me back into cardio.

personally I feel worse from heavy exercise. at the height of my endo symptoms, a couple months ago, I felt that exercise sort of made things worse: the bloating and heaviness were more painful after working out, felt more pain, more twinges and pulls - I think depending on what type of exercise you are into, and where you have adhesions, and what you are eating, these are all factors of whether your work out is going to set off symptoms or not.... let your doc know your concerns. Tara, glad your doc backed you up on the tramadol. it's not my favorite pill but really got me through a couple months of constant pain with little side effect. Beats taking 4 vicodin a day, doesn't constipate as bad, and if you don't get the dizziness you're doing great! but beyond that its good you have a doc who understands how painful endo is.... good news, sort of!

I always take the tramadol when I need it with food, never on an empty stomach and I personally haven't had any stomach upset issues from it. I also take an advil or two with it as well when needed.

good advice, i took it this morning with a big breakfast and i feel great! personally i feel like this med could work out for me, i only have to take 1 50mg pill a day, i cut them in half, i have a weird low tolerance for pain meds, i took a whole one yesterday and i felt high :s didnt like that. my doc perscibed them 3 times daily and gave me 1 refill so i will not have to buy meds more than i already do, i <3 my doc, hes been so great the past 2 months. hes giving me a specialist referral tomorrow and i know the results from my heart test! I am feeling like things are looking up, i noticed as soon as i got control over my pain i don't feel helpless, i feel like i can do this! i have been do some stretching yoga positions while doing mantras and its worked wonders relaxing my mind. i highly recommend that.

Well. My gp said he couldn't refer me to a specialist, and my gyn would have to. I got to see me gyn today, i got my last shop of lupron today. i talked to her about pain, i don't have bleeding anymore, just pain. she is getting an ultrasound on my left cyst to see how much it has shrunk and see if it needs to be removed. She seemed really sad when i told her im still in pain. she didn't feel around or anything, she just immediately reffed me to a gastroenteritis. She thinks that i have intestinal problems. anyone have any experience or input on this im nervous now.
