Is sex talk okay? Anyway... Just curious if anyone else has this problem and if so what you did... I was diag-ed with a lap a few years ago and diag-ed with PCOS about 5 years ago. I had a baby 16 months ago (Tried for 5 years) Stopped nursing over 6 months ago and just the past couple of months every time after sex along with the cramping that I normally get I have started to bleed for about 3 days. Called the Dr and they said it wasn't a problem that needed immediate attention (sure puts a damper on your sex life though) so I am finally going in next week. Anyone else experience this and what helps???

I think there's a thread about it somewhere, but don't remember where at the moment. First off, bleeding after intercourse is not normal and you should be seen. It could be something as simple as a bacteria infection which could be easily remedied. Just a quick swab will tell if you have one. It's an easy thing to rule out and I'd suggest making an appointment and starting there!

I would say also with the swabbing, make sure they're testing for a range of infections. Some doctors will only order one test at a time which is a bit wasteful. Hope it gets sorted out, let us know!

LOl I'm sorry I'm laughing but when you said "is sex talk ok" I damn near spit my tea onto my computer. I think we should refer you to the horny rant! No topic is too taboo for us! A lot of us have sexually related health issues that totally suck. I used to spot after intercourse but after going on the nuva ring it all stopped. Keep us updated on what the doctor does for you!

I do sometimes spot for no apparent reason. I do hope you get some answers. I also had a chuckle with the 'sex talk ok?' comment. Rest assured, ALL talk is ok. I was so happy when I joined this board, that we could talk about anything....

I spot for about two weeks of the month and get very dark blood with this. I bleed during and after sex during these two weeks but not for the other two (when I can manage it!!)
Let us know what the doc says...and we talk about everything here - you girls know more about me than the people I've slept with!!!!!!!

Went to the Doc's last week and after a "fun" vag ultrasound and swab, found absolutely nothing wrong with me...He said it could just be my body not ovulating so it's "spurting" Doc says it's time for a second lap though...Yay me :S I think I'll wait a few months and hope I get pregos instead... He also put me on b/c for the month to regulate and then we're going to do a round of clomiphene to increase the baby chances...I'll keep you all updated, hopefully a second baby doesn't take as long as the first. Dumb endo, Dumb PCOS!

Well, hey, at least you know what ISN'T causing it. That's a start.
Be sure to check out the fertility threads. There's info there about clomid, tracking your cycles so you know if you're ovulating or not (if you're not you obviously won't get pregnant), etc. And I'd recommend ANYONE trying to get preggers to read the book that's in my signature. Seriously, it's the fertility bible!

When I was on the continual BCP for my endo towards the end I was getting spotting during sex. We had a really bad experience one time where my hubby had quite a bit of blood on him - totally traumatized both him and I for months after! Anyways, the gyno said that with the BCP it thins you out and that causes you to spot easily with sex. She said they could freeze the cervix but if we wanted to have kids that might not be a good option. I'm not sure how the freezing works ( identical to like what they do when you have a leep procedure ) but she said that would fix the bleeding during sex problem.

yeah, I'm not sure who was more freaked out when it happened, him or I. He thought he hurt me and it was just my stupid cervix being thinned out. My hubby was great about it as well though but still to this day he's worried he's going to hurt me and I keep telling him it's nothing he did that caused it....
