Poor Keri. I can't imagine all she has had to endure. My thoughts go out to her. I hope she recovers well.

poor keri, I wonder if they actually found something this time? Do you know Jenaya? I would hope with as hard surgery is on her they wouldn't slice and dice without reason but my faith in doctors is getting lower with every story from her F*cked up care, idiotic doctors. Keri, get better soon!

OH my goodness!
Keri, dear, I hope this is the last one, for quite a while - but I am glad that they're FINALLY taking care of business, and sorting you out. Hang in there, and take care.

So here's the lastest: The doctors are fairly certain that it was her gallbladder that has been messing her up. She said she is feeling better and she has actually been able to eat! She said after she has eaten her stomach no longer gets bloated. She was kept an additional day because her picc line got infected but she may be going home today. I'm hoping this is the start to a wonderful recovery. She seems to be doing better!

That's good news! My op is scheduled in the middle of a crazy time at work and I keep thinking about postponing it, and this keeps making me think twice. I'm SOO glad she's been able to eat proper food!!!

I'm so glad she can eat, it's been months hasn't it? That's such a good sign and I'm so glasd she's doing better. But it all begs the question, why did it take her being on the brink of collapse and 3 surgeries for them to figure out it was her gallbladder? Helen I think you should have it done at the scheduled time. There's a time when you need to put your health first or risk losing everything because your health fails. Look after yourself doll!

Hells do what you need to do but don't make this decision based on work needs, make it based on YOUR needs. I know you want this done, so maybe they can manage without you at work? (If you're like me, they really can't manage, but they might just get by without you?) let us know, though, so I can send you happy thoughts. I'm so glad Keri can eat. Remember she was saying back at thanksgiving all she wanted was some turkey and sugar free pumpkin pie. Well I hope she gets some of that in her soon! Keri I hope you are finally on the mend... and the tide has turned for you!

Thanks girls for all the support. I was realeased this evening with a few antibiotics I have to take for the next 3 weeks. Along with the appendix being taken out then two days later my galbladder I picked up a blood infection. My pik line was removed and I am tolerating small portions of food now. A little at a time. As long as my antibiotics work for me I can stay home and recover but if anything gets worse I will need to go back into the hospital for iv antibiotics. Its been a crazy trip. My gallbladder test was done the day after I had the appendix removed they had thought it was my appendix New Years Day so they took it out asap. It was not the problem so they preformed the necessary test and my galbladder was not working the right way a normal cycle it 2 hours mine took over 6 hours. As soon as we knew that the surgeon asked to take it out and we agreed. It has been very difficult and I almost said no as I was so worried about going under 3 times in less then a month but I am glad I did it. The galbladder has been my issue this entire time and no one had tested it or even given it a thought. All the tests and hospital visits, tpn Iv, the doc run around and it is one of the most common problems. The #1 surgery people have is removal of galbladder. The surgeon was in shock when he found out I had been like this since October.
I am glad to have it all over of course we are taking things very slow and I know the recovery is going to be hard but just knowing what was wrong has made it so much easier to deal with. The blood infection was also causing alot of pain, vomitting and chills and of course the fever. I see a infectious disease doctor for that he is awesome oh and btw very HOT! LOL I will have all my follow up appointments this coming week.
I am going to finally be able to celebrate 2011~I was in the hospital ER when the ball dropped. Its my husband birthday 2morrow too. I can have a little food with him he said the only gift he wanted was for me to be home and he got it:) I am so glad the doc let me come home it means so much to be with him and Jacob even if it is just being at home watching a movie atleast we are all together. I will keep everyone posted and I hope to be back on the board posting more soon. love ya all!
