OH MY GOD. My cat has the same issue. She loves to chew holes in... everything, especially things of interesting texture.

I have a chewer as well! I went through several pairs of headphones (that plastic coating must be a dream to a cat's gums!) before I realized I had to keep them out of kitty sight. Sigh...

I just have an eater. He will eat anything he can get to, so at one point he got super fat, cos he chewed through a very durable plastic and foil feed bag that had come in the post, and got the food that was inside, he ate a huge amount and then slept it off!

Karen, I got aquarium tubing and wrapped all the cords in that. It took a long ass time, and almost 200' of tubing, and some very sore thumbs, but now he can't destroy expensive things.

Today Sam and I were watching "The Girl Who Played With Fire", and, as usual, Dagron decided this was prime laying-on-mommy-and-daddy time. He usually walks across Sam to lay on me, then gets up and lays on Sam for a while afterwards. I was wrapped up in a blanket, with my knees up, so Dagron laid right down between my chest and my knees, and kneaded my neck. He is such a sweet, lovey cat when he's not destroying things.

Dagron's newest thing is playing fetch with my husband while Sam is trying to sleep. He carries his mouse up to the bed and lays it at my husband's back, then sits there and swats at it until Sam picks it up and throws it out of the room. It was really cute the first night, but last night I had to lock the cat out.

Hope you don't mind me hijacking, but Baxter was completely entertaining herself last night. I have two large side-by-side windows in my bedroom, and have floor to ceiling curtains that run almost the entire length of the room. Last night I was in bed reading and Baxter was playing hide and seek... She'd dart behind the curtains, run back and forth behind them, and stay completely still when I'd come over to her. I'd lift the curtains up, she'd squeal in delight (you know that cat noise that sounds like 'huh?'), dart out of the room, and come tearing back in as soon as I crawled back into bed. If I wouldn't come find her she'd meow... I'd call her name, she'd come bolting up onto the bed for a quick scratch, then would go back to her game of hide and seek. I wish I had a video of her little game, so entertaining! It went on for 15 minutes or so?

I love cats!!! I'd be lost without my little Muffy cat. I love her so much! She really keeps me sane when I'm having a feeling bad day. Even during my period last week Friday she came to the bathroom and sat by the tub guarding me as I took a bath to get some relief from the pain in my rump area.

Baxter sounds awesome. I love it when they make up games. I had a cat who used to stick her tongue out at me, then I'd do it back. We did this back and forth a few times, then she'd put her head down like "Ok, you win".

My mom shared this with me on FB, so I thought I would share it with you guys too. I bet Dagron will let me do this. I'm gonna try, and then take a picture. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jm3dm5J5r0A

G you seem to pick some fun cats! I love these little Dagron stories. I swear if I don't have kids I'm getting me a ranch with all crazy animals on it to while away my days. And then we can all go to the Crazy Horny Cat-Lady Commune.

So on Thanksgiving, I thought I would share a little with the kids. I cooked up the giblets (minus the neck), and cut them into 6 pieces each. The dog got 4 pieces of each, and the cats each got one (I figure since the dog is 4 times as big as either of the cats...). Then I cut the portions up smaller, arranged them on their respective bowls, and set them down. Gryphon and Alee immediately went to work, but Dagron just sniffed at his. Gryphon had finished his portion and came over to steal Dagron's, so I gave him one piece, then dumped the rest in Alee's bowl (she doesn't gain weight, ever). Dagron does the same thing with treats. Where most animals will learn to associate things they don't like (nail trimming, flea prevention application) with good things when you give them a treat, Dagron seems to do it the other way around. He associates the treat with bad things, and now he won't eat them, even if I offer them not in conjunction with the bad thing. What a weird cat.
