I have a cat named Dagron, and he is both crazy and retarded. He amuses me ceaselessly with his antics. I wish I could catch him on film, but of course I never have the camera handy when he is being silly. I've started this thread to share with you all the crazy things he does, because I know he brightens my day and I hope he will brighten yours. Last night, I went to bed around 1 am (normal time for me). At about 3 am, I awoke to the sound of Dagron yowling. I got up and stumbled to the kitchen, worried that he had hurt himself. He was sitting in the middle of the floor, just screaming. Not hurt, not sick, just amusing himself I guess. I went to the bathroom, told him he was goofy, and went back to bed. This continued for about 15 minutes, then I guess he lost interest and I fell back asleep. I certainly didn't think it was very funny last night, but now I think it's hilarious. Here's a picture:

He's a beauty My boy also does this, whenever he feels he isn't getting looked at enough.

Aw - so cute! I love cats!!! My kitty Muffy is 19 years old and totally is my little furbaby child. If she could crawl inside of me like a kangaroo baby she would - we have quite the bond!

Tonight, Dagron was being extra possessive about his mouse. (I found out today that the mouse is the reason he was yelling in the night. He wanted to tell us he had "caught" it.) It's a lambskin mouse, and they have a few of them, but sometimes he will claim one for a day. I don't buy the rabbit ones because I have bunnies, and I don't want the cats to associate bunnies with rough play. Anyway, we heard him growling ferociously from the front room. He had picked up his mouse, carried it over to where his brother was, and had put it down, growling and carrying on. It's like he was daring Gryphon to try to take it from him. This is what I mean by crazy... and poor Gryphon is just like "what in the hell is the matter with you?" Gryphon must think he's the only sane creature in the house some days. I confiscated the mouse for about half an hour so that it wouldn't escalate into a serious fight. When they get brand new ones, with a strong smell, they really go nuts. They will run through the house tearing each other up (thank goodness for thick fur) and Dagron will NOT put the damn thing down. He will growl at Gryphon through his teeth, around the mouse. Cats are so silly sometimes... but where would I be without them? They certainly give back to me a lot of what being sick takes away. Edit: I almost forgot another picture! I put him on the scanner, just for shiggles.

I love those wtf moments that you see between 2 cats, when 1 is going nuts and the other is waiting to find out what is up? I feel like I'm on drugs looking at the scanner pic though, it's crazy! I love the pile of kitties. If not for the potential injuries, it looks like it would amazing to lie down amongst them and make a fluffy kitty angel.

Kittens are great for pillows, as long as you are gentle. They even vibrate! Anyway, this is what Dagron did today... I save up my egg cartons because I get them from a co-op type place, and they always return them to the farm that they get eggs from. I had 6 saved up because I kept forgetting them. They were open and stacked on top of each other. Dagron has a chewing problem, it's called PICA (don't know what that stands for). Basically, he chews on/eats everything he's not supposed to. He has destroyed 5 headphones, a couple computer mice, my charger for my camera, a couple phone cords, numerous reusable grocery bags, a pair of Sam's leather gloves... much more stuff, I'm sure. The girl at the co-op always gets a kick out of my grocery bags with giant holes in them. Today I finally remembered the egg cartons, and lo and behold, that damn cat had chewed on the top one. I made sure to show the co-op girl; I'm sure she appreciated it. I guess he's getting fed up with me taking away all his "toys". Silly cat. Here he is when he was little, already a major destructive force:
