One of my faves I saw today:
" If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. " --Maya Angelou

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." ~Melody Beattie~ That quote was provided by none other than the Endometriosis Research Centre

"To forgive, is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” Lewis B SmedesThis is very pertinent to me this year. I've forgiven people for things that weren't their fault so in the end the biggest thing I've had to do is forgive myself for being such a bitch and for hurting others through my self-involvement. There are some things you simply cannot forgive, but you can instead try to forget. One of the things that led to my recovering from depression. Not completely there yet but better than I have been for as long as I can remember

Anger and hate, be it at yourself or others, is very deconstructive.

Coming from you Keri, our lil superhero! Thank you! Can't wait til you're back to writing quotes for us. We have a friend in work who insists that they understand certain people's perspectives, but this person completely misses the point and just says a lot 'why doesn't (s)he just get over it' We gave this friend a quote to think about "Wisest is he who knows he does not know" Socrates Our friend still didn't get it... pretty funny but it's a reminder to stay humble or look as stupid as this work friend of mine!

"Speak tenderly to them. Let there be kindness in your face, in your eyes, in your smile, in the warmth of your greeting. Always have a cheerful smile. Don't only give your care, but give your heart as well. "
~Mother Teresa~
I had a rough Monday as I had a migraine and I was at work but my patients still got the best of my care and for that I'm proud! I made some sick people smile, and held a confused ladies hand who needed it and that makes me happy! I always remember what its like. I can look at one bright side to my endo because it makes me better at my job now.

"A person can learn a lot from a dog, even a loopy one like ours. Marley taught me about living each day with unbridled exuberance and joy, about seizing the moment and following your heart. He taught me to appreciate the simple things-a walk in the woods, a fresh snowfall, a nap in a shaft of winter sunlight. And as he grew old and achy, he taught me about optimism in the face of adversity. Mostly, he taught me about friendship and selflessness and, above all else, unwavering loyalty." ~John Grogan~ (Marley & Me: Love and Life with the World's Worst Dog)
