WHat's your GP said? Is there any treatment for it?

The doctor has said he'll refer me. Whether he does or not is another thing. I wish the mean but good doctor was back! I really should move surgeries but it's worrying to go into the unknown and start again with a doctor who might be utterly rubbish with endo or depression. I'm chasing it up next week, the least my gp can do is to give me some exercises or good pointers? I have to start working for our revenues department in 2 weeks. I love learning but my brain is just not picking up at the moment!

I've just changed GP, and I know what you mean, 'Better the devil you know' and all that. But honestly, it's the best thing I could have done. Pick one with lots of GPs, and then you're bound to find one you like!

My neuropsychologist last week was discussing ADD w me. I have alot of the same traits on the list you have above. I feel you Cherry! I am so laid back but my MIND WONDERS! I sometimes feel like I am not even really here! LOL~ I have been at the same job for 5 years I know it like the back of my hand or so I thought now I can not remember how to enter a new library card. Of course they are checking my little extra spot on my brain to see what that is but if it is not anything maybe I am ADD too? Awww please let me know what is going on with you. I know they have meds for it not sure I would ever be a candidate but you could be. Our Children s librarian has ADD and she takes meds and it helps her....Good Luck:)

Both my husband, who has ADD, and my kids are on Omega 3 fish oil with evening primrose oil and there's been a definite change. They focus better and it has a huge calming effect. The kids are almost unmanageable without it.

I'm not sure if I have memory problems or my doctors. Jeez I could be setting off on the road to disciplinary action and now my doc backtracks and says I'm not being referred and he thinks I'm like this due to stress. My brain acts like its short circuiting over what? I've dealt with stress all my life, I'm probably one of those freaks who is calm with it cos I'm hardwired for it now. I've dealt with so much sh*t that my doctors say they actually can't believe what I've been through... yet they think that dealing with a break up that I wanted is the reason why I'm zoning out and losing track and having trouble recalling something I've read only 5 minutes before. So when I was like this in school, I guess they'll that on... voldemort killing the unicorn? Pull the other one. I've been very honest with myself about my feelings during this breakup, and I know it's not him. I think about him alone at home, not at work. It's a coincidence. I was like this when I started my new job, have been like this at the start of all new jobs.

Keep pushing for the referral - you need to know one way or the other. A doc can't suggest this and not follow it through, it's irresponsible.

Whilst browsing the net I came across a site on ADHD, and found this comment:
'Easily distracted by irrelevant stimuli and frequently interrupt ongoing tasks to attend to trivial noises or events that are usually ignored by others'.
Remember I mentioned my insane intense annoyance by pen-clicking and so forth? I need to ask my GP about this, but I swear they'll all think I'm a complete hypochondriac!!!!

I'm all over the place with this. The latest doc says he thinks I have the signs but am not 'destructive' enough and suggest I try meditation to teach my mind to rein itself in. As in, let my thoughts wander and then gently bring them back on point. When I can remember what I'm meant to be doing whilst meditating I'll let you know
