I have to take my puss to the vet today. She's been peeing on the carpet. I think she may have a UTI. Poor girl has issues like us!

Shes' so beautiful! My boy had a UTI, nearly killed him cos I didn't know what was going on, but now he's on a diet, less a penis and happy fat buddha boy. His prescription diet is such good quality food and costs a ton less than when I used to feed him Iams and Purina One. It's Royal Canin, order it online if she needs it, works out a lot cheaper than ordering it through the vets.

So I am back from the vet. They also suspected a UTI but I opted not to do the urinalysis because the way they extract the urine is by sticking a needle into her abdomen! I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I opted to just get the antibiotics and go from there. If she doesn't get better then I'll spend another ass ton of money to do some tests. So now I get to look forward to shoving pills in her throat 2x a day! Poor baby. I hope this is all it is and nothing serious.

The urine sample doesn't hurt, it's just about the only thing that didn't make Luther cry during his treatments. If she needs one, don't worry about it. And I've been really grateful for my insurance, Luther's treatment (it's worse for and more prevalent in males, his problem) was about £3000 in total, which on my wage would have resulted in him being put down early on. Lily's never needed her insurance but now I've seen the need I don't mind paying at all.

I was wishing I had pet insurance. They offer it through most vets and I think petsmart does it too.

Karen I insured the babies before I even insured my household! I used to work in pet insurance so it made sense to me to get it 'just in case' and I'm glad I did because Lou needed medical attention a fair bit and then had a £900 operation as a cherry on the cake of emergency visits and tests. They mean so much to me and I've never earned enough to guarantee that I could pay for emergency treatment, never mind the best care. His operation saved him further treatment and he has a great life now, the alternative offered by the vets was to put him to sleep. I highly recommend insuring her if you can Jenaya, it really gives you peace of mind that they're covered for the best care and not just what you can afford at the time. Premiums for kitties are quite low as compared to dogs and you can get different levels of care to suit your needs. Haha I sound so salesy! My premium is creeping up as they're technically old now. I spend more on these guys than I do on clothes for myself but I wouldn't change that for the world as they mean so much to me If you consider it, you'll want lifetime cover. Mine is cover up to £7000 for each separate illness, whereas some policies only cover you for the first year of treatment = pointless for things like diabetes or arthritis. If you go for it and need some translation give me a shout!

Me tooo! These cats, it's crazy that you guys have 3 similar looking cats! They're beautiful. In my profile pic is my Lily doing her bunny paws pose. Oh Luther is a big boy and doesn't show it but he's powerful. I live in an old Georgian converted house and we have these really heavy doors that are made to swing closed, and he broke into my bedroom. I woke up to him nuzzling my feet. Cute but slightly yucky, kitty licking!

I love all the pictures of the meow meow's! I hope your kitty is doing better Jenya. She's beautiful. My boy got a UTI in April. Poor guy was miserable, but he recovered well. I had to squirt antibiotics down his throat. Not a fun time.

Funny how you said something about bunny feet, cherry. My kitteh reminds me a lot of a bunny with her bunny feets, bunny nose, and bunny fluff.
I am retarded.
I love the dark-faced kitties w/blue eyes. It makes them look like owls when they stare at you.
