Aw, dogs rock, too!
We had an Australian shepherd/golden retriever mix name Tar growing up and she was the BEST! Super smart, super loving, fat, but cuddly. When my sister and I were away at college, she'd always perk up when she saw our car coming down the road. When she died, it was the first time I saw my dad cry...

all this talk about cats, l love them, and grew up with cats. My family even fostered them from the Humane society. But since I moved in with my husband we have become dog people, and you can't beat the devotion they have, not like cats, that pick and choose when you can shower them with affection, but dogs love you any time. Yeah I agree! I get so annoyed when my cat is being a biotch. I want to pet her and she runs away. Most of the time she's cuddly but then she gets all "miss independent" and starts gettign frisky. I also love the fact that when you call a dog it actually comes to you. I love dogs too. They are just high maintanence and I can't get one for a long time. At least until we have a house/yard and a permanent place we're living. I wouldn't want to have a dog in an apartment. I tried it once and it was hard because I had to move and give him away. he was so awesome too.

I do love dogs so, I'm lucky that my two kitties do come when called and are easy with the affection. I do love the independence too though, they give you alone time, whereas a dog has to have someone who is ready to be their leader 'rowf'

Speaking of full names (Keri I love your dogs names!) my kitties are Lilyputt Lane and Luther Buddha Chub. I would love to be a dog breeder when circumstances allow so I prepare myself for Kennel Club-ing by making up ridiculous long names for current and future pets.

I have three pets, a Parson's Russell Terrier name of Prissy, a Black Lab called Flash, and a terrorist called Puff. She's feline and totally nuts! The cutest thing about these 3 guys is that they're all best friends, Prissy (although the smallest of the three) is the alpha-momma and caretakes the other two, l swear it's the funniest thing in the world to watch a 3-way wrestling match with a giant black dog, a tiny white dog, and a SUPER fluffy himalayan-looking kitty. They rock my world. Right now I'm sitting on the couch (with killer cramps, cigarettes, and vicodin) happily reading my new friend, endo website, and the 3 musketeers are all sacked out next to me, snoring. Pets ROCK!

I have a 7 month old kitty named Dizzie. Her name suits her well. She is the most affectionate cat i have ever seen. Every night she lays on my chest and cuddles and when its sleep time, she curls up behind my knee and sleeps there. I have also just adopted a puppy who is 5 months old today and his name is Kodi. I think i like babies better..lol. He is a very cute puppy and loves to go on car rides. We have only had him for 2 weeks so not much to tell except that he likes to get into everything.

Cats are cute, but I can't handle teeth and claws, not to mention pet hair everywhere, so no cats or dogs for me. However.....I have just this very morn purchased 2 goldfish!! I'm starting small with a little plastic bowl (it's not too small) but eventually I want to have a big tank with lots of fish. They're so relaxing to watch!

I love to see tanks of fish, though I'm slightly scared of them. I know, one of my many neuroses right? I went to a big pet place once and we checked out the kittens and hamsters and flocks of cage birds and carp.
But there was this fish that was swimming upside down in one of the tropical tanks, I think it was black and white striped. And it was looking at me. I was freaked out that it was either dying or living a freaky life and that it's eyes were following me. So I'm scared of keeping fish.

I like how your pets have first and last names.

They are gorgeous boys, love the names too. Is there a difference between them and German Shepherds? I looove dogs. So many people in Liverpool have terrier types as status symbols that it's sad to think they maybe forget the variety of breeds out there. My family dog was an American pit bull cross and amazing, but given that they're illegal here for a reason I'd never had one again, he was a rare gem. Before him we had Alsatians when I was very small so I have a soft spot.

Thank you Cherry They are very similar to German Shepherds, the original breeder of these dogs is trying to bring back the original GSD that came from germany. They have straight backs to get rid of the hip problems, they are bigger and sturdier (Dude at 16 months weighs 120!) and she has bred intelligence into them. I had a GSD before these guys and I can already tell a HUGE difference! Most of my friends have pits around here, they are sweet sweet dogs I dont understand why all the fuss! But yes I am very much a dog person! Cats an I just never got along haha....
