My jokes make people laugh? Never. The only one laughing at them is me. Then people laugh at me laughing at my lame ass half-punchline. Did anybody else ever watch Diagnosis Murder and think Steve was a hopeless and uptight detective? His dad, a doctor, went round doing his job for him! Or his dad's doctor friends!

I don't understand. How can this been such a common thing, with so much proof and documentation but 95% of dr's seem to constantly say "your normal" IT'S NOT NORMAL!!! Do they not teach about it in medical school or what? I don't get it. Do all female Gyno's have it so when we're telling them about our symptoms they go "yup, sucks being a woman, we just have to deal with it" I honest think that dealing with Endo wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to deal with the dr's dragging their feet and acting like your being a big wuss and can't handle your PMS. Sorry....off my soap box now...

I was watching Mystery Diagnosis today and this woman went through years of severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and rectal bleeding. She was diagnosed with endometriosis after she had a cyst rupture so the diagnosis of endo caused doctors to blame all of her symptoms on endo and they never gave her a second thought. She went on for years seeing specialist after specialist only to have them find nothing. Her symptoms eventually got so bad that she couldn't even function anymore. Then one day her symptoms got severe she called 911 and went to the ER. The doctor that she saw was a D.O.! I was excited about that. But it turned out she had a condition called "intussusception." It's a condition where part of her intestine gets stuck inside another part of her intestine which can cut off blood supply and cause bowel obstructions. It took her years to get this diagnosis because this condition can come and go. The cause of this ended up being a benign tumor in her bowels. Apparently the endo was found by accident and she didn't have any symptoms of endo at all.
Just goes to show, NEVER GIVE UP!

They did another one about an RN who had endometriosis in her sciatic nerve! I keep thinking about that one with Cherry's issues? The RN finally got put on full disability and couldn't work anymore before they went in and excised the endo on the nerve.

I was watching today and they had a woman who was allergic to her own progesterone! She would go into anaphylactic shock twice a month when her progesterone spiked, during ovulation and right before her period. Crazy! They cured it by giving her a full hysterectomy.

I've heard that can happen, though I haven't heard of it that severe!

Wow! I can't imagine how anaphalatic shock would feel twice a month! My one time was enough for me. How did they know Jeneya and treat her till they figured it out. I mean a ehpiefren shot twice a month? Has anyone else ever went into shock? Our bodies are so sensitive to everything!

So I'm watching my favorite show again! Today they had a woman with endo in her leg! It was compressing her sciatic nerve and giving her pain and she couldn't walk. Seriously, when will this disease get the attention it deserves? It's such a dangerous disease! Damn, I listed the doctor who treated this woman in our endo specialist thread and I find out that he retired! How sad! He was a good one in St Louis, MO. Bummer
