It has to be so nice to actually be listened to, and have some sort of action plan! And even better when someone can point to a spot on a u/s and say 'this is what's causing pain'!
I really admire your determination and persistence to be listened to! When's the lap?

I am actually starting to feel really great about the Ultrasound results. I mean, it sucks to know what they are showing, but it feels great to know someone has finally seen what I can feel everyday! Lap is in April. I wish it could be sooner, but I don't have time before then. I'm actually kind of excited for it. Even though I think it sounds kinda twisted to be excited for it.

It's not twisted at all. I understand 100%. Time will zip by and before you know it April will be here. Isn't it nice to know we are not crazy and that we do in fact have something else happening in our bodies that we have been trying to explain to everyone? I felt great after my lap and knowing what the cause of pain was. I think the worst part about my lap was the junk you have to drink before the surgery to clean out your bowels. I pretended that I was on the tv show surivor and that if I drank the whole bottle I would get immunity and win a reward. It's all worth it though and thats what keeps me going. Good luck for April!

I just wanted to tell you that I feel for you. I was actually petrified that they would go in and not find anything during my lap. So, while that was not my end result, I did have serious fear of that happening and experienced some anxiety over it. Had it happened to me, I can't imagine how deflating that would feel. It's horrible when you don't have answers. Don't give up...keep plugging along at getting a diagnosis.

Ok, so here's an update on the situation...
I got my new ultrasound results the other day and found out that the large cysts I had 3-4 months ago have resolved, but now I have a new 4cm "less threatening" cyst on my right ovary. I have still been having lots of consistent pain, and in fact I think in the last two weeks alone, I have had more pain daily then the last few months.
I am still scheduled for my lap as of right now, but I don't know if I should bother going ahead with it again right now or not. I want to know what is going on, and why I have so much pain, but last year's lap didn't reveal anything, so I don't know if I should go ahead with another one so soon after, especially if it is unlikely anything will be found.
I took it pretty hard last year that I still didn't have any answers, and I don't want to keep subjecting myself to unnecessary things. I don't really know what to do. Any opinions would be greatly welcome.

Also, it really makes me wonder what the heck is going on down there, if I keep forming cyst after cyst. I don't think I've been without at least one in several years!

You'll have to remind me, have you been dx'd w/ PCOS? Your cysts sound a lot like mine did. Basically, my LH:FSH ratio was 6:1 instead of 1:1 on day 3 of my cycle. Basically, the cyst/egg keeps growing and growing and doesn't rupture on time. Even if it did, by the time it got that big, no way would it fit inside the teeny fallopian tube.
Have your LH:FSH checked (as well as other hormones) on day 3 of your cycle (where day 1 is first day of red blood). If your ratio isn't just almost right at 1:1, see about the insulin resistance diet or asking about Metformin, if you haven't tried it out already.

(This also goes with if you have close to 28-day cycles/on-time ovulation)

hmm... I actually just got a requisition form to have my hormones checked, but I haven't gone yet, as I wasn't sure which day would be best. I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet, which is the majority of the frustration. I am taking provera right now though. Do you think that would mess up the results of LH FSH testing?

Not sure. I'd go on your next cycle, definitely day 3 of red blood.
What country are you in?

Metformin is a blood sugar medication that lowers blood sugar. About 90-some-percent of women with late ovulation and cysts that grow like what you are describing, exhibit insulin resistance, of which late ovulation/cysts that don't rupture is a symptom (according to my old OB). My first month on Metformin, I ovulated on day 16, first time ever in my life where I ovulated on time. I decided to give it a go myself with the insulin resistance diet, which does what Metformin does naturally (and isn't so much a diet as balancing good carbs and protein). I ovulated on my own, also day 16, and wound up with my daughter. LOL. I didn't figure the diet would work as well as a prescription medication, but it sure does!

Canada. My cycles have been crazy messed up ever since starting provera, but before then I was pretty regular. About every 27ish days give or take 3

You're taking the provera to bring on your period?
