Wow. I was told to go on it recently and refused because I don't react well to drug therapies. My gyno questioned me on it. This article I hope will educate other women out there about the dangers and ineffectiveness of Lupron.

Someone else posted a similar article before, though not direct testimony. Thanks for sharing! I think we need a copy in the Lupron thread...

That article just reinforces everything for me. I absolutely refuse to do Lupron. I was just googling Dr. Redwine too because a woman I met had a friend who had her surgery done my him. Apparently he's pretty amazing.

Great brochure hellsbells. Thanks for sharing that. It will be very helpful in explaining many aspects of this disease to friends and family. Mystery illness - some think it is all in my head, some thing a hysterectomy will make me all better and the rest just plain do not get it at all! jeni

Barium Enema for Evaluation of Bowel Endometriosis www.ajronline.org/cgi/content/full/190/4/1050Jenaya you will like this right up your medical terminology. I think all should have a look at the pictures please caustion tho they are not for anyone with a weak stomach. I am scheduled for one on friday but what I do not get is they clear me out then put more barium in me the other end and my colon releases it when stool is ready to come out. Is this not the issue I am already having why would I do that to my body again. WTH REALLY!

Keri - I had the barium enema in 2002 when I was initially going thru the diagnosis process. I had to take the same prep like they do for colonoscopy, I was on the sh*tter the entire night before. I got there and you lay stomach side down on this metal table - wide awake for the whole thing. I remember that the table tilted alot so they could get the images. They basically put a hose up your ass and start filling you with the barium. This stuff is pure white. You will sh*t white for days after. Make sure you have some enemas on hand at home - I got so stopped up from it I had to self administer the fleet's to myself and take stuff to make me pass it. This was all in Canada so maybe it's done differently here - I would hope that they would give you the stuff like they do for the colonscopy that makes you forget that any of it even happened.

I've given up caffeine almost entirely since last December. The only time I have it is when I haven't gotten enough sleep and I know I have a long drive ahead of me, but that is rare.
