Okay--I'm going to try to get a photo on here. 1st one is day of surgery about 2 hours later. bandage is hiding the one under belly button and other is right center above pubic bone (not shown in photo). i felt like a bloated pumpkin with orange skin from iodine and what at the time seemed like some serious bloating. 2nd photo is 2 days post lap....i bruised quite badly and about 4 days post op the bruise was nasty black/purple/red--no photo of that day. Here goes.. Attachments:

Wow that's healed so well, congrats! And your tummy is cute, well done on losing the weight you put on like you mentioned in the New Year's Challenge thread. I have all soft lighting in my home so I'll take a pic at the gym later.

Thank you to Jenaya for directing me to this thread... This is my keloid scar. (The smaller red thingies are not scars, they are from the tights I'm wearing) It's not so raised as before because I had some sort of injection there. I want to get this thing lasered off!!!

OH good you're getting a treatment for your keloid! That's good! I think your incision has healed nicely! I'm pretty excited to see how it looks when you have it removed! If the laser that doesn't remove it completely there is another cosmetic procedure that you can have done where a tattoo is applied over it to perfectly match your skin. I saw it on TV once. I'm not sure what kind of technician or doctor does this procedure but I know it exists and may be another option for you just in case the laser doesn't completely remove it! The results they showed on TV were amazing. It works really really well.

Seashell for a keloid scar from a laparotomy it looks great, really. Don't let it dent your confidence too much, and if the lasering off is for you, go for it because you won't look back. I know how it is to have scarring make your life seem crappy so do what makes you feel better. I had a keloid scar on my knee from my favourite passtime as a child (falling off my bike) and they gave me a gel to apply at night and peel off in the mornings, which took away layers of skin. I was chicken so I stopped using it because it hurt, but can your GP try you with that, which may be less costly?

The belly button scar is on the bottom of my belly button. Nothing crazy (they are 3 years old now lol). I did a close up, as im sure you guys don't want to see my many stretch marks lol. 1 kid, 1 lap and damn proud of my battle scars lol
