Hey Jaemsysn I was supposed to have what you had but then I woke up to those asymmetrical incisions. And I'm still extremely mortified to find out that they shoved things into my hoopla to tilt the uterus. I had no idea they were going to do that. Geez I feel like a very sl*tty intoxicated girl that passed out at a frat party and these guys just had their way with me. I'm soooo freaked out about those "dilators" they shoved in there! AHHHhhh creepy!!! I had no idea!!!

Oh my holy god Cass..................!!! Thats all I can say.
Jenaya, keep a close eye on those steri-strips. I left them on a little too long (the doc just told me they would fall off in the shower) and by the time my GP removed them for me the belly button incision was infected.

Hey thanks CJ. I was wondering about those dang steri-strips. I didn't know they lasted this long. It's been a week today and I've been trying to pull them off but those little buggars are stuck good! How long did you have them on? Is it safe to rip them off now after one week?

My gyne told me I could tear them off after a week if they hadn't fallen off, or if the edges got all fuzzy and gucky. They lasted three days before I tore them off. They were driving me nuts because I couldn't wash the scar like I had been doing.

Hey I ripped off two of my steri-strips and my incisions look like paper cuts!! I'm sooo impressed to the point that I am actually wondering if the doctor even did anything! HAHA! I still haven't seen my belly button though.

I ripped off the belly button strip today. He actually made the incision just under my belly button which I'm happy about because my outy would have looked really strange if he had cut through it. You can barely see these incisions. I'm so impressed! I swear if I wasn't sore after the surgery I would accuse him of not doing it at all! you can't even tell.

That's great Jenaya, Glad they did such a good job! I was too much of a wimp to pull them off. When the doc pulled them off after about ten days the belly button was full of puss (sorry for TMI).
I second jjuls22's comment above. Cass you rule!

I wish I had a better camera than my web cam but I took another picture without the steri-strips. You can see that I still have a little bruising but seeing how these are only a week old I think they look impressive! I can't believe so much can be done through such small incisions! (The hole above my belly button is from my belly ring, the incision is below my belly button)

that looks fab!! they did the incision really thin which is great... the staple marks will be the first to disappear and the scar will heal up nicely espec being so thin..
you will see a mssive difference in 12 months!

I'm not entirely sure what those steri strips are you're talking about, but if they're anything like stitches i hear ya. Mine are supposed to dissolve and i keep tugging at them to try and help them loosen up.Jenaya for only a week old yours looks really good!! I'll try and take a photo cos mine are a bit over a week old and still have stitches in.
BTW, for both of my laps i only had two incisions- belly button and then on the right side/lower hip. Weird huh everyone else seems to have had three

My scar after the op looked very similar to omaklackey's, it reminded me of a zippper! the staple dots fade really quickly and i also used lots of bio oil which ahs a whole bunch of ingredients in it like vit A, E, calendula oil, lavendar, rosemary, chamomile and purecellin. I also used Rosehip oil as well. Now my scar is almost white, no redness at all.
not sure what you mean by why are the incisions so much thicker, wider though ouchy?
