I will be so glad to put this year behind me, and have these few days to rest and reflect. Just kinda glad I made it through alive so I can build on what I've learned. It'll be a quiet one for me but it's just what I need.

I'm kinda dreading it. My mum, stepdad and brother are coming over. I won't be 'in charge' of my kitchen as usual because they'll be wanting to help. I still feel quite moody and narky and I just know I'm going to be snappy with them and they sooo don't deserve it. I've pre-warned them though! Here's hoping I'll be in the Christmas mood tomorrow and it'll be a lovely day. Think positive Helen!!!

WOW nice gifts! We didn't really focus too much on gift exchanging. We are here with a friend that doesn't have family in the united states (he's from Slovakia). We are having a great time

Helen...500 pounds? Lucky gurl. That would be just over a thousand dollars Canadian money. Glad everyone is enjoying family time tho, thats most important.

Happy holidays! I had a great night last night with my family. Had a big dinner with my dad's side of the family. My sister flew in and we were able to hang out. We've never been very close, but we both agreed that we've gotten a lot closer in the last year so it was really good to see her. I got some fun gifts, nothing too extravagant, but that's just how we are. Tonight, I'm a blob on the couch, watching tv and gorging on Chinese food - my typical Christmas tradition! Might head out for a drink in a bit with a friend of mine if I can convince myself to bundle up and leave the house. Hope everyone is doing well! So glad to have gotten to know all of you over the last year and wish nothing but the best for everyone!

My mum's not usually that extravagant, my xmas pressie is usually about £30! For some reason she decided to give me and my Bro a large cheque this year. I'm just blown away by how generous everyone has been this year. We had a lovely afternoon of eating drinking, chatting and watching telly. Hope there are no bad heads today!
