Oh cherry we should sticky this! Hi I'm Jenaya and I'm a regular junky of the endo board. I LOVE THIS PLACE! SO much love to give here! I joined the board I think almost a year ago??? don't remember... But anyways, I'm a southern California native born and raised but now live in Washington DC. I'm married, no kids, full time college student studying physiology and neurobiology and eventually will head to medical school to be a doctor. I was always dead set on being a doctor of emergency medicine but the more I hang around this board the more I consider being an OBgyn. ... hmmmm we'll see huh?? ;D I'm 27 years old, scorpio, i love long walks on the beach.... ok ok enough of me.. Did I mention that I love this place???

Hi new guys, I'm a mod here along with my girls jenaya and olsenka, and the board has been my little safehaven through the years. Made friends with some really great girls, and it was my first and only port of call when I was diagnosed with endometriosis. I'm from the UK, and love this little international community! I'm between lives at the moment currently fussing about with a construction degree but would love to work/bum my way around Europe Jenaya's lying by the way, she's only here 8 months at the time of writing

Hi! I'm Sunshine. 31 years old, Was finally diagnosed with endo via lap on July 24, 2009, after 17 years of crippling pain.
I love this board! If there's nobody else in the world who understands, or is available to listen, you can always count on these ladies to pick your mood up. If anyone understands exactly what you're going through, whether you're new to the frustrations of confirmed or suspected endo, or a seasoned veteran, it's these ladies, here.
Favorite subforums of mine are: Just for Fun, and Rant and Rave.
Still pursuing a degree, and will be changing majors for the second time (though not by choice). But the change will one day be lucrative, and I will one day be a full grown adult who is able to pay all of my bills by myself, lol.
Currently, I'm looking at Jim Cantore on the Weather Channel, and drooling. I will probably do so later this evening, as well.

Omg I've just realised my claim to want to 'bum around Europe' could come off as in very bad taste!

HI There...
My name is Pam and im an alcoholic...lol
On the flip side, i was diagnosed about 7 months ago after enduring years of pain. Abdominal, sexual, back...you name it and i had the pain for it. I had a hysterectomy November 3rd, 2009 and it turns out that i had Adenomyosis(endo of the uterus). I still have to watch out for endo that could grow in other places but wasnt currently seen. I love this forum and its a world of wisdom, support and advice and it has helped me through many a tough time. Im 34, married with 4 children(2 step) and from Canada.

I'm Karen. I'm 32 and live in the states. Had my lap in January of 2009 and they found a lesion in my cul-de-sac and adhesions with my appendix/cecum/pelvic sidewall. After feeling like I was getting no where with constant pain, I researched as much as I could and I gave up narcotics, BC, and other various meds to manage the pain and went the natural route. I made modifications to my diet and started on a supplement regime in March 2009 under the care of my chiropractor/naturopath and have been able to successfully manage the pain. It's still there most days, but it's ignorable most of the time. I feel like I have my life back. This board has been my sounding board and my support and I'm very happy to be part of the mod team.
I'm happily single at the moment, work for a contractor, I'm a handy-man around my house, and live with my 2 cats.

I am Keri and I have been on the board for a year I think. I was diagnosed as Stage 4 Endo my first surgery so I had to wake up fast to the fact I had a severe case not even knowing what the disease was. I logged on the day I found out I had endo and have been here since.
In the span of a year I made great friends on here and gotten so much support and information from all my Endo Girls.
I had a hysterectomy to remove my uterus that was covered inside and out with endometriosis but I still have endo on my bowels and bladder. I will eventually have another sugery to remove my ovaries but I hope that is a long time away.
I am 34 married and have a son named Jacob he is 10. I work at a library and love my job. I love photography and art and in my spare time I take pictures of everything and everyone. I am a girly girl. I like shopping, makeup, shoes, vintage inspired clothing and unique things are usually on my list when I shop.
I was born a Aquarius and hold true to the sign I walk to the beat of my own drum. I love working for charity and am always ready to fight for a cause.

Hi, my name is Talia. I'm 31 years old and live in sunny North Florida! I work full-time at an Equine Insurance Company and also run a Thoroughbred Breeding farm with my husband. I honestly don't know how I do it all with my health, but I manage My days are insane...I'm up with the sun doing barn work, go to work for 9 hours, and then do barn work again until the sun goes down. Although it's extremely hard at times and I'm downright exhausted, it's sooo good for my mind and soul. We've been trying for a baby since December of 2009 with no luck - I've never had a positive. I've had two laps; one in 2007, and another in 2009 at the Center for Endo. Neither one has given me long-term relief. I'm back to barely being able to sit longer than 10 minutes with pain, so back to the operating room I go! My next surgery is April 13th with an endo surgeon in Orlando, FL. Hoping for at least a year of relief before I head for a hyster... I'm big on eating a healthy diet for pain management and am also a big proponent of not letting this disease ruin your life! There are days I feel I can't get out of bed, but I do it anyways. If my husband has taught me anything, it's to "get up, dress up, and show up." Your mind really is a powerful thing. I love this place and these girls have been the closest friends I've never met

Hey I'm Lisa otherwise known as Pretty. I've been diagnosed with endo about a year. I went from being very lazy and carefree about my health to being super involved, which has been a challenge to say the least. I live with my husband, 2 dogs and a cat in Homer, Alaska and sometimes I feel like it's on the moon, we're so far from the rest of the world. I was lucky to have found a 'real' job with health insurance right before my endo was diagnosed so I feel really blessed and my main goal is to spread awareness of alternative treatments, such as diet changes, physical therapy, to those who can't afford expensive treatments. I do believe that it's possible to heal from this disease. I struggle a lot with concepts related to having this disease, and it's more of a mental battle for me than physical. I hope in time to be able to free myself from thinking of myself as a victim of a disease and hope that in taking responsibility for my health and healing I will regain my 'balance' in this life. This board has been my rock since diagnosis, I would be light years behind without the friends and information I've gained here.

Hello I'm Nicolle. I'm 26 and I live in Westminster Colorado which is a suburb right in between Boulder and Denver. I graduated from CU in Dec. 08 with a degree in Women and Gender studies. I work at Whole Foods in the bakery department. It's not where I want to work for the rest of my life, but with the economy the way it is I haven't found a lot of other options. I love spending time with friends and family, I'm an avid movie watcher especially documentaries. I read a lot of books and am trying to get better with cooking/baking. I love the sunshine and am so excited about warmer weather so I can go on walks again. I have a five year old Maine coon cat named Mcgee who is my baby. I love him to pieces and he is incredibly spoiled. I'm a huge animal lover, but my soft spot has always been kitties. I've gone through a lot in my life and have had many different experiences so when I got diagnosed with endo it felt like a slap in the face. Now I'm just trying to practice gratitude and live a peaceful life. I strive to be a better person everyday. I'm incredibly happy I found this board. It's been a life saver for me more then once. I don't know everyone super well, but everyone has been nothing but kind and supportive of me since I got here. You girls are my hero's and I admire every single one of you.

My name's Heather, and I live in the frozen north of Vermont, after growing up in Virginia Beach. This board has been phenomenal for me--so many different things to try for pain management that I would have never done or thought of on my own. I'm married with 8 kids--Alessandra (pit bull mix), Dagron & Gryphon (cats), Russtipher & Moira (bunnies), Xerxes & Shesha (ball pythons) and Dido (leopard gecko). I am passionate about animal welfare, and I love to create, mostly using pencils or my camera. My husband, Sam, has been incredibly supportive since I got my first sex pains when we were still dating. He's an electrical engineer, and right now I'm just a trophy wife (haha). I'm still not sure what I want to be when I grow up--probably something that involves working with animals.
