Wow, tiff! They took you off everythign?!? I wasn't given any limitations and just told to take one iron pill a day. I need to go in for another test to make sure it's working, though. I still always feel dizzy/faint. Yes, I agree, tiff. Definitely the most important test I passed!

I'm 36 weeks today! Where has the time gone? Full-term in one week!

Full term in one week? Wow how exciting! I thought full term was between 38-42 weeks not 37!

Hum! Everyone is telling me it is week 37, even my baby development book. I thought it was 38 weeks, too! 38-42 is what I thought I remembered from school!

No I have not been told to do perinial massages, but my Dr. did recommend chiropractic care! Was it suggested to you?

On and I felt the baby's hiccups last night for the first time, it was amazing! I was so excited to feel them and my husband was able to feel it too.

Ouchy I am so sorry about my message about perineal massages, I was thinking it was something else, just disregard it.
I have heard though that perineal massages aren't neccesary! I guess if the perineal is suported during delivery you wont need to worry about tearing.

Hum. From everythign I've read, it's like the number 1 tried and true method for avoiding tearing or needing an episiotomy. We learned that we should do it in our childbirth class, breastfeeding class, and from the doctor. It's really not fun and hurts, but I can feel the muscle stretch out and relax. What do you mean by the perineum being supported during delivery? How do they do that? From what I've heard from my friends, the nurse will massage it with oil just before or at crowning, or the doctor will either let you tear or do an episiotomy. I'm so confused. LOL! My hypnobirthing book also says to do the massage. I guess I'll keep doing it. It can't hurt.

Yah. Our birthing teacher also said that episiotomies are not recommended anymore and that tears heal better and more quickly. See, all the links point to doing the massage, too. I will just do them just in case. It can't hurt. Thanks, tiff!

So, today I had that weird bout of energy, and I've almost finished the top of the baby's quilt. Now, I feel a weird, dull ache like I'm going to start my period. I don't really think I'm going to go in to labor, but it's just weird.

The ache is getting a little stronger. If I weren't pregnant, I'd be sure my period would be here in a couple hours! I'm filling out my hospital "pre-admission" forms and packing my bags. LOL. If I do go in to labor, I guess it won't really be "pre-admission!"
