Are you getting excited and nervous about the birth? I have about 2 friends due, one next month and one in October and both are getting to the stage where life is quite uncomfortable now and they want to meet their little ones.

LOL. Yah. That was my tummy. I feel weird plastering stuff up here. I only leave pics up for a few seconds. I can PM it to you. Well, I've actually been pretty lucky. I don't feel uncomfortable at all. I can still wear my jeans from before I was pregnant (with a belly band). I can still get them buttoned and zipped, but it's more comfy with a belly band. The only thing that is uncomfortable is that my baby and I sometimes fight at night. LOL! Her head is over on my left side, and if I roll over on my left side, she throws a fit. Actually jabbing me and stuff until I roll off of her! It's funny. Painful but funny. You can only sleep on your sides (not your tummy, not your back), so she always wants me on my right side. It gets aggravating! Plus, you get better blood flow to the uterus on your left. I wait until she is asleep and try to sleep on my left gently, without disturbing her.

I am not quite in my third trimester but I thought i would post anyway. What weekl is the start of your third tri?
That is so funny Ouchy, when I lay on my left side I always feel her kicking the bed, its funny. It is not painful yet but sometimes it get agrivating when I want to sleep.
My husband has also been reading to her every night beofre bed, I don't think she likes the book he is reading because she always wakes up at that time and moves around a lot.

Weeks 27+ You're more than welcome here! The more the merrier! LOL! OOOOH! That is SO great that he's reading to her! My husband refuses to read to her . He says it's stupid, which shocks me, bc I figured he'd really be in to that stuff! It is a big argument we have! I want him to read to her and talk to her. It is great that she moves around a lot! It means she hears him. One of Dr. Suess's books was used in a fetal reading study. THey found that while the babies were being read to inutero, there was increased movement followed by sleep after the story. Once the babies were born and the same book was read, the babies calmed down, aparently remembering the vocal patterns. That's so great that he's reading to her!!!

i have read that by this time or for some afer 20 weeks, you have to sleep either on right or left but most suggest left..i forgot the reason.
saw my baby today and she/he is very active.wish i can feel the movement soon.
it's good to read to your baby as by 4 months she should be able to hear you..i always have the radio on my car so that she pick up music ..lol..i talk to her sometimes, well i think i will read to her too later on..

Well, I tried to post this last night, but it wouldn't let me. _________________________________________________________________ Well, we had the second/last part of our childbirth class tonight (10hours total!). I'm glad I have an appointment w/ my OBGYN on Monday. Apparently, period-like cramps are NOT normal in the third trimester, and neither are multiple episodes of Braxton Hicks contractions. I get at least 4 rounds or more of BH that last minutes a time per day, and I get period-like cramps (though NOTHING compared to the worst endo pain) several times a day spaced not even a minute apart. These are considered preterm labor signs and need to be brought to the Dr.'s attention!
What my mind can make of it: Bacterial vaginosis, which I'm battling AGAIN, can lead to preterm labor. I'm not saying I'm in pre-term labor, and I dont' know what most women consider to be "period cramps." I do know I am cramping quite a lot. Sometimes it is on the left side (where I think my intestines are tacked back over w/ endo), and sometimes it is medial, right where the middle part of the uterus is. I'm only 30 weeks, so I hope she dosen't come this early. This has been going on for a few weeks now, gaining in frequency especially over the past 2 weeks. My appointment is on Monday. I need to find out what my doc. wants to do about the recurrent BV--apparently that pH buffer I worked didn't work like it was supposed to have. I don't want to continuously take antibiotics, but I guess if it means a safe baby and rest of the pregnancy, then that is what has to be done.
Sheesh.

I'm actually nervous as to what the doctor will say today. I hope he doesn't blow me off! Weird, huh. I don't usually get nervous. I guess I just have a lot of stress lately with other stuff. I have SO much to do this week. Grrrr.

Okay. Back from my OBGYN appt. Baby's heartbeat was strong, and he said that contractions even ones that feel like endo/period pains are normal. While I am feeling a lot of them, as long as they subside after a couple hours, I'm fine. I'm just supposed to rest when they come on. My infection is back, but it's mild, and he doesn't want to treat it bc I will have the Group B Strep test in a month, and he doesn't want to kill that if I'm harboring it, bc it is important to know if I have it. After that test, he recommended gentle vinegar/water douches. He was fine w/ me using the RepHresh pH buffer, but he suggested just being verrrrrry gentle w/ vinegar and water douches over the RepHresh and also to take acidophilus capsules every day.
I guess everyone can just call me Nemo now since I'll be fishy for a while. LOL!

Okay. Back from my OBGYN appt. Baby's heartbeat was strong, and he said that contractions even ones that feel like endo/period pains are normal. HUMM. My friend pointed out to me that this could be because all of my OBGYN's patients are messed up--he's a fertility specialist. I didn't think about that. The videos and our instructor in childbirth class said that period-like cramps are NOT normal; yet, my OBGYN says they are normal.

Honestly Ouchy -
I'm no dr but I'd get a second opinion. I'm sure it's not easy to do that when you are so far along in your pregnancy, but if I was having pain like that - I wouldn't think they were normal...

I asked on that babyforum that I'm supposed to be boycotting, and it actually seems to be common even among those women without issues like endo, etc. I think our lecturer was just out there. You should have seen her. She had a nose job, face lift, eye lift, collagen injections in the lips. Bleached hair. She did make stuff up, too. She had no idea who my OBGYN was at the first lecture, but by the second lecture she was reassuring me that he's performed thousands of C-sections. I don't know. At least I know to go to labor and delivery if the contractions are prolonged.
