I don't know if it has anything to do with toxins. My doctor said it is fairly common for women to feel light headed during early pregnancy.
Also, the volume of blood increases SO much during pregnancy, that can cause dizziness as well. Also, the uterus can push against the vena cava making blood return to the heart and brain less efficient.
Oh, the joys of pregnancy!

If you have been totally passing out, your mother-in-law is right, you should stop working..and you shouldn't be driving!

Having lightheadedness is normal and feeling fatigue is too. But blacking out is not normal or healthy for any one let alone if you are pregnant. So that is why my Dr. wanted me to come in to sit down with me and go over everything and probably run more tests to make sure it is not caused by something else. I am eating pretty well, I don't have a great appetite but I am for sure eating. I have not lost any weight so I aobviously am eating enough and I eat real healthy. I guess I will just have to wait till Tuesday to see what he says. Sitting here guessing what is worng wont get me anywhere.
Thanks for your responses Ouchy

I have not completely passed out, it goes completely black but I come to right away. But when it has happened it has taken me off my feel. Partially because I know I need to sit down and it is an automatic reaction, but also because of a falling feeling.
I am worried about completely passing out and it seems as though every day I feel a little worse so it is probably just a matter of time before I do so I need to figure out why it is happening now beofre something bad happens.

That's exactly what happens to me! Everything goes black but then comes right back. I have to move like a turtle so I don't pass out! I'm also worried about completely passing out. My doctor didn't seem too worried about it, and that made me actually leery of him. I know I should trust him completely--he is the best doctor I have found, but I'm too much of a control freak about my health to let my guard down and then have something bad happen. I don't feel like I should be driving. I don't drive when I take narcotics for period cramps, and I feel like I"m taking narcotics 24/7--and I'm NOT! I don't want to feel like this! I hope it goes away soon! I also hope you'll be okay. Please post what your doctor says! I'm excited to have a second opinion!

I am glad my Dr. wanted to see me about it. It malkes me feel good that he cares enough to be willing to do what it takes to makes sure it is nothing bad going on. I feel if your Dr. didn't seem to worried or felt you should come in, maybe he does not have your best interest at heart. I have always felt that if I am worried about something than a Dr. should do what he needs to to make you feel more at ease whether or not he feels it is necessary.

I totally agree with you! 100%! My doctor did say that we'd discuss it more at my appointment on May 11th, but still. I'm feeling like this NOW. What if something bad happens in the meantime? I guess I'm just a worry wart! LOL. He also said that if it gets worse he might put me on some dizziness medication (not motion sickness OTC stuff), but I told him I'd rather just stay in bed all day than take a medication like that during pregnancy. He shut up right away. Grrrr!

Maybe if you continue feeling this way or it gets worse, call back and tell him you just don't feel it is normal and you don't think you should be waiting 2 weeks to be seen when it is not just your life at risk.

Yah. He did tell me that if it gets worse to call for an appointment or go to urgent care.

I think my OBGYN was right. I think my dizziness is from low blood pressure! When I came back from a brisk walk (was walking a dog we're dogsitting, and walking quickly should have raised my blood pressure), my blood pressure was a low 88/66! Normal is 120/80! I haven't measured it to see what it is at rest...I'm sure it has to be even lower! I'm putting in a call to the doc. first thing Monday morning!
I wonder what all has made my bp go this low!!!! I don't know much about it really, other than it is common in pregnancy, but THAT low...and right after exercise? I'm definitely staying away from behind the wheel!

I JUST started getting dizziness, too (about 15 minutes ago). I ate lunch, but for some reason I feel like I haven't eaten in days, and I feel flush. I also feel dizzy, and my lips in particular are tingly.
Ugh, pregnancy is not for the timid!

UPDATE: I had my appointment yesterday about the dizziness, shakiness, and blackouts. I have been diagnosed with Hypoglycemia, when these things were happening I was going into a hypoglycemic shock. What helped to dertermine this was when I saw my Dr. yesterday I was actually starting to have the problems.
Solution: I can not eat too much fruit since it has high sugar levels in it. I have to start eating a higher content of protein and fat through out the day. He said about 3-4 bites every hour. Since I dont eat dairy I need to find other alternatives like peanuts.

Eek. Hypoglycemia is LOW blood sugar to begin with. Fat and protein actually LOWER sugar even further, so I hope your sugar doesn't go even lower and cause you even more problems, especially if you have low blood sugar and he wants you to cut out sugars and keep lowering it...? Having snacks does make sense and so does increasing intake of proteins and fats (to avoid insulin spikes and drops), but lowering it when it's already too low...? You might seek a second opinion. BTW, did he do a blood sugar test on you?
Also, if you've been eating a lot of sugary fruits, it doesn't make sense to me that your blood sugar would be constantly low. I think that if he didn't test your actual sugar level, you should get him to. They usually treat hypoglycemia by supplementing sugar intake (fruits, etc.), while eating snacks that are high in fiber, protein, and healthy fat. He can't just out-and-out give you a diagnosis based on symptoms. You'd have to have your sugar checked. My brother had a doctor diagnose him w/ hypoglycemia a few years ago only based on symptoms, but when he went to another doctor for the sugar tests, it turned out that it wasn't his sugar at all.

Also, I've read that peanuts aren't always the best option for pregnant women. If a woman has any food allergies, eating things like peanuts that are common allergens can cause the baby to develop those food allergies (i.e., your baby could develop an allergy to peanuts, since they don't necessarily develop allergies to the same foods you're allergic to).

I have had a blood test to diagnose Hypoglycemia, I am not eliminating sugar from my diet. I just can not eat sugar with out complimenting it with protein and fat, including fruit and carbs!
Peanuts can be bad to feed to a new born and to children under the age of 2, also if you are breast feeding it is not recommended to eat peanuts. But eating peanuts while you are pregnant has never been proven to cause any kind of food allergies!
In just the last two days of changing my diet and making sure to exercise more to help balance out my levels and eating more proteind and fat, I feel sooooo much better. I should have never gotton out of the habit of eating protein with everything I eat.
