Hi - before I found out I had endo., I was diagnosed with psoriasis. Does anyone else have itching flaky skin on their elbows, knees, toes, etc...? I've had it for as long as I remember but never knew it was psoriasis until recently. It's pretty much gone now that I got some cream for it, but I did read many women with endo. also have this problem. So, I was just wondering how true that was. Who else has psoriasis?

I don't - but my mom does. Auto immune disorders run in my family - so a lot of us have thyroid problems, psoriasis, endo, etc.
My mom actually runs a support group for people with psoriasis! She is a wealth of information. If you have questions, I am happy to ask her for some answers.
I think we have a thread on auto immunity...?
I'm really glad the cream works for you. Psoriasis is really tough!

thanks for that info. Thankfully my psoriasis isn't that bad. I hope it'll never get worse. I'll search for the thread on autoimmunity. I didn't know there was one. Thanks!

I also have this condition. I was diagnosed about 3 years ago with guttate psoriasis. I get little red spots that itch and flake. The dermatologist gave me a topical cream and I've only had two outbreaks of them but it was horrible. I was diagnosed with stage 2 endo Jan. 2008.

To confirm what you're thinking, I have a scalp condition like psoriasis. I get little hard bumps which become itchy and eventually scab up. I've also had "boughts" of alopecia, and this other condition also creates "small hairless patches". I've have steriods injected into my scalp and I also use a lotion.
It all sounds rather disgusting, really! Ironically, I have a ton of long auburn hair, and people always say how lovely it is... if they only knew LOL!!

yes, thankfully, I have thick hair, so the dandruff-like stuff that comes off of my scalp doesn't show up too much. It is annoying though!

yes yes to endo and psoriasis...which has been getting increasingly worse as my female pains have been over the past few months and particularly in the last month...both have been at an unbearable peak...up until the last few days i thought it was just a coincidence although began to question how it could be so timed together and then read these posts about auto immune linkages and lightbulb went off...especially since ive had issues with allergies (seasonal, penicillin), chronic rhinitus (2 surgeries), ibs-gastro related issues, ovarian cysts, and up until now never contemplated chronic fatigue just thought as i got older thats why i was tired all the time...but now i wonder if my constant exhaustion from when i wake up could be related to ...in that vein.... my psoriasis is at my hairline (has been for maybe 10 years coming and going) but now it has spread to inside and behind my ears..underneath my eyebrows (good thing like my hair its dark to mask it) and in the creases of my nose...i suppose i should get to a dr but with all my gyno stuff going on i just looked at it as a secondary peripheral issue...

This is EXACTLY what happens to me...the hairline, behind the ears, the crease of my nose...in my eyebrows. I even showed this to my husband I was so freaked by how alike it sounds to me skin issues. I've tried EVERYTHING. All natural...steroid creams. You name it and nothing keeps it at bay. Some days are great and the next day might suck. It's so strange.

I was wondering if any of the current users out there have psoriasis. I have never had any spots but now I am suddenly covered in red, flakey patches. I have not used any new products or medications that would cause a reaction and these are very different than hives. My mom (who is in the medical field) has identified it was psoriasis, but I am going to the doctor to be sure. So sick of getting slammed by all of these auto immune issues!
