This is a thread to replace the one that I assumed everyone would associate with passing out from endometriosis/period-type pain. I was wrong.
So, this thread is for women to post in who have passed out from the extreme cramps/pain associated with endo pain during a period. I have quoted all relevant quotes from the other thread to this one.
(This is not for cramps or pains associated with cysts bursting, miscarriage, or any other other painful situations we might have.)

I don't think it was an underlying symptom so I'd say the time I passed out recently was because of the severe acute pain I had that day, it was only a short while but waking up on the floor is never pleasant! Blood loss, luckily not but I have been quite ill with it in the past, very dizzy and sickly and faint xx

Yep. One time I also woke up on the floor. It was the bathroom floor when I went to change a pad. It was from the extreme pain/contractions. Grrr!

Yups i have nearly passed out once too.. a few years ago i was late for my period. My husband was in the bathroom and i was waiting for him to com out. All of a sudden i had a really bad pain in my abdomen and kind of fell on the floor. I remember feeling faint and sick. My husband came out and helped me up and a few minutes later i went to the bathroom only to realise i was bleeding. It was my period.

No. I should have been more specific in the title of the thread. Not your fault!

I have found that there is a bit more of pattern to my endo pain now around my period, and premenstrually is the worst, though the first day is a close second cos combined with first day cramps I just want to sit down until it goes away! Edning my period and after, my tummy feels tender to touch but the pain settles right down. The time I passed out was a good 8 days before my period, and it seems that around that time before my period is definitely the time I have to be careful where I am cos the pains makes me nauseous and dizzy! Endo is a mother****** haha xx

Oh wow. I passed out and had the worst cramps on second day. My worst days were always the first and second days. Usually was the second, but over the years changed to the first. It's so wild that we all have the same thing and all have such dissimilar effects. I think it's kinda' cool. Shows how elastic this disease is!

I passed out in a gas station once b/c I was in so much pain. I felt myself going in and out as I was driving, so I pulled over, hobbled into the gas station, asked them to call 911 and if I could lay down any where. They said no and I passed out. I heard other people around me and one guy did finally call 911 from a cell phone. The fire department came first and gave me oxygen because I wasn't breathing very well. Then the ambulance came. When the paramedics came in they asked me how far along I was. It took them awhile to realize that I wasn't pregnant. Once that realization sunk in, they yanked off the oxygen and pulled me up by my arms and made me walk to the ambulance. Then they made me walk into the e.r. and sit in a chair and wait for a doctor. I layed down in the waiting room and kept going in and out of consciousness and I'm sure I was pretty loud because I was in sooo much pain. They did a pelvic exam (which, I'm sorry, seems like a stupid idea at that point.) and called my fiance. They told him it was just menstrual pain, even though they did see fit to give me morphine. So, on top of feeling like crap, I had them convince the person I love the most that it was in my head.
That was the most horrible experience I've ever had with it. It was before I was diagnosed, but I had an idea that that was the problem and mentioned it while I was there. The doctor said, "Heh, I don't think so." and the nurse said that they're not supposed to do a lap until after you have children b/c it could ruin your chances of getting pregnant.
A year later, when I had real health insurance, I had my lap, was diagnosed and have been receiving treatment ever since. It's ridiculous.

Ok I have never passed out - been told by MANY DR's (my orthopedic DR actually) that I have a very high tolerance for pain. BUT I will say that my worst days are on the end of it all. I would say day 3 and then goes from there.....I will how ever still have pain after I stop up to a week after. Sitting does no good, neither does laying down. I do the up and down thing.
