Thats what we call it here in Canada or Pre Menstrual Syndrome. It makes way more sense.

I don't know if it's my changed outlook but I had an initial day of crushing pain in my lower abdomen, a few episodes of getting snappy but I can happily report that either my premenstrual symptoms are starting late or are letting me have a month off! I'm not taking it for granted, I am making hay (and spring cleaning my home and my brain) while the sun shines! xx

Good for you Cherry!!! If you can conquor it with positive thinking than thats the best medicine!!
I'm glad my last 'episode' is the last one before my surgery! I'm hoping that I won't have to worry about the loss of control with rotten PMS for a while now!!
Fingers crossed!!

hahahhaa!! ya except for the couple days I lost it - it even showed on here!! Oh well, thats all over now, and I am just counting down the days! I don't know that surgery will help my PMS - but it should help the pain which always makes me really short tempered!
Thanks Cherry for the vote of confidence!! I needed it!

I have actually had some success with all my herbs and supplements over the last few months, one thing that has improved has been the PMS.
No longer getting randomly depressed, not getting sore breasts, acne clearing up. So, its a start.
Not sure what has done it, but have been on Vitex, EPO, vit E, vit C, magnesium zinc and crampbark formula, and a multivit plus multimineral.

I do misa, and for most of my period too so spend 3 weeks being a cranky crazy bitch! I have been ok the last period expect my PMS was after my period, but since I started having periods again after some treatment, I have been insanely moody and for so long it seems to be the norm now xx

Hi Cherry. Sorry you have to go thru that I feel so miserable (depressed) and angry at pms. Acupuncture has helped. Is yours bad because of hormonal treatment? Endo peops have bad pms dont they?

I'm not a pregnant dog, or pregnant, or a dog, that was a change by the board I meant to say b i t c h but it got auto changed haha! I seem to have gone nuts with the hormone treatment, I'm hoping it's just an after effect and not permanent! I have heard conflicting about endo and PMS, but there is an idea that cos the endo secretes it's own hormones it can cuase problems! I'm trying positive thinking, it helped at first but one day this month I woke up angry and stayed that way, unreasonable and everything irritated me! I'm on EPO, which I've noticed if I take the max dose seems to make me worse? I take half of the max dose now and have seen an improvement already. Also altered my diet, don't give in to my cravings before the period cos it's mostly for sweet stuff, I just eat well (more iron and complex carbs) and that has been a big help! xx

LOL I guessed what you were saying. I take 2000mg EPO a day, for the pain. I do notice when I miss my dose I wake up particularly cheery. I am not sure which supplement is doing it to me cos I take LOADS! What dose EPO do you take? and what hormone treatment r u on?

I was on something called prostap three, a mini-menopause GnRH injection every 3 months, I tried it for 6 and depsite the fact that I'm in more pain now cos I'm back on my periods, I'd say it was the worst medication I've ever had. The pain didn't ever stop on the prostap and as can be expected with that type of treatment, my hormones were thrown way out of whack and I had a blooming breakdown. I used to take 2000mg of EPO but now I'm down to 1000mg I am feeling a lot better... the high dose may have caused the mad mood swings cos I've continued on with my other supplements! With 1000mg I get 135mg GLA... its Gamma-Linolenic Acid which is the active ingredient I think. Actually just read the bottle and I should be taking between 1500mg and 3000mg, but I think I'll stick to the smaller dose I'm on cos I feel a lot better since I cut down from 2000mg a day. If in doubt, try one day again without just the EPO, if you feel better you might wanna cut down bit by bit til you feel the benefits from the smaller dose xx
