I've had endo since probably back when I started my period, and I never noticed ovulation discharge like I have now since I have been on and quit the pill. I guess my endo doesn't affect mine.

It is silly that doctors can use endo for a catch all reason for hormonal problems, if any problems have arised cos of hormones, it has been cos of the pill or Prostap. It's like with IBS and it supposedly causing all the pain. It's a possibility but not the only one! xx

I know. And sometimes on here I feel that a lot of people use endo as excuses from everything from ear infections to the car not starting. lol Nah. I know endo causes a lot of problems, but I think a lot of the symptoms women describe are actually caused by other problems they have in conjuction w/ the endo and not the endo itself.

Yeah, it's just so hard to distinguish sometimes, cos of doctor fobbing you off with the whole 'oh it's probably endo', and the fact that endo actually can trigger so many problems. If anything the endo has made me more mindful of what the underlying cause of a problem might be, like my eczema started with the Prostap treatment but i checked that it wasn't a food or product allergy first, cos I don't wanna be the person who uses my endo/hormones as my excuse for everything. Endo was my life for 7 months, no more though xx

To put it in a better perspective WHY it is likely cyclic hormones causing the discharge and not endo, here is a great chart that shows hormone levels, follicle development, effect on uterine lining, cervical position and texture, cervical fluid, and waking temp--NOT from endo but from cyclic hormones. The book I'm taking this info from wasn't even written for women w/ endo in general. It was written for women w/out any fertility issues, women w/ fertility issues, women w/ PCOS, women w/ endo, women w/ thyroid disorders...the list goes on. Bascially, it was written for women in general to better understand their cycles and what causes different discharges and fluids to occur--fertility signs. Endo is mentioned, but endo isn't even the main infertility cause worldwide. I have PCOS, which has an even higher infertility percentage, and I still even notice these fertility characteristics. Anyway, here is the chart. Oh yah. Also taken from the book: Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.

Ive noticed mine increases when ive been unhealthy, meaning, after big drinking sessions. I obviously obstain from that practice these days, but it did definitely have an effect.
Whether it was my body eliminating toxins or a result of hormones from my poor struggling liver is hard to say.

There's a chance that those drinking days just happened to have fallen on a peak day of your cycle, resulting in excess mucus.

Yep, yep. I too have always had discharge. When I was younger I was plagued by yeast infections. So much that to this day I know the sign if I am beginning to develop one. Thank goodness I dont suffer from them chronically like I use to!

Hi, please can someone give me some advice on heavy discharge?
iv noticed every time my periods come to an end i start to discharge and with it the pain in my
left leg and pelvic area increases the heavier the discharge the stronger th pain and cramps get.
Some times the cramps are so severe that im trowing up!
Iv also noticed the pain is less once the discharge has come to an end.
is this related to the endo?
