When I get to feeling sorry for myself I do it well! The last 2 days I have had the most unbelievable pain, a horrible crushing and pulling pain like I had whenever I've been flying, and it's been so excrutiating that I feel dizzy and sick and needing the loo like there was something pushing it all out! As no one else has experienced problems when flying like I described, I'm wondering what the hell it is. Plus it's come back now quite randomly. I had attacks of severe pain in the past where I had to go to the toilet and 'empty out' but this is the worst I've been, like a combo of all my worst pains in one. My tens is dulling the pain a bit (when I finally found it, cos I hid it as a promise to myself not give in to my pains) but the painkillers obv aren't doing much cos i take them every day and I feel like this, and hot water bottles and heat pads are flipping useless! These sudden attacks of intense pain usually calm down or go after about 6 hours but it's now been 24 hours solid plus about 6 hours yesterday morning. Weirdly I sleep a lot when in pain it just knocks me out so suddenly I wonder if I've passed out or just fallen asleep. The dizziness is annoying when I'm trying to move around a bit. And my eyes are goign crazy like I've got a migraine coming on, all flashing zigzags and dots. The pain is now creeping up under my ribs and presenting in my right kidney. I would scream if tensing my stomach to do so wasn't so painful. I feel so frustrated and I'm sorry for ranting but you guys are the only people who understand all of this xx

Cherry! I'm so sorry!!!! You poor thing!!! Have you had your gallbladder checked? If you notice it happens after eating even slightly fatty foods, I'd say have it checked. I don't experience what you describe while flying, but I have experienced similar symptoms...just not while flying.
Keep us posted!

I haven't had my gallbladder checked no ouchy, as much as i don't like strange people prodding me, I am surprised that I haven't been examined in over a year, esp cos I've been complaining of abdominal pain still. The flight pain camille, I have no idea! It just happens when I land I'll suddenly feel like someone is standing on my tummy and going to pee is hellish, as it is when my bladder starts to fill. I have stomach pains too but I think its the acne med as it is harsh on your tummy I was told. Does anyone know how quickly adhesions can form, and whether they cause pain like this?! Cos the pain feels like my insides being pulled and twisted thats what comes to mind! Thank you xx

I have had those pulling and twisting feelings. Mine felt like it was a knife inside pulling and twisting and digging. That's the best way I can describe it.
How many times have you experienced this while landing? Is there a chance that it could be what you are experiencing now, on the ground, only that it hit you while you were landing and really has nothing to do w/ the plane? Just curious.

It's a possibility yeah, this is the first time the crushing pain around my bladder has been so far, and the sensation is around all of my insides today. It's just the 2 times before it's been after a flight at least 2 hours long, like in Feb when we started to descend my tummy dropped a bit as usual but the pain in my tummy came out of nowhere and literally felt like I was being stepped on and having my bladder pulled downwards. When we landed I was squirming so bad they called for a doctor which was embarrassing. I even cried which I don't do in public. Over the days after flying the pain did subside but I developed a fear of peeing or needing to pee cos the pain would intensify so much! It mystifies me why it's happened after flying, and then for it to happen now is weird too. This pain is just something else, but in a way I feel ok with it cos I'm at home, it's not as scary as normal. A few times it has hit when I'm away from home. I haven't been to the gym or lifted anything heavy, or ran anywhere xx

Sorry to here of all your troubles Cherry! I am sending you a big hug! (((((((((((((((((((((Cherry))))))))))))))))
I have been having wicked pain going pee when I have my period. I understand when you say that you are afraid to go. I get like that to. I also have some pain going pee when I don't have my period, but nothing like you have described. As to flying I can't say because I have never flown before. All of this probably hasn't helped much but I am thinking of you!!
Take care and I hope you feel better and get some answers!

Thanks Rin, the way I'm feeling right now advice would be as much use as a chocolate teapot haha. I have the pain peeing more often now but for it to be this bad is unusual ( I describe it as an 'attack', so dramatic!) Thanks for your kind words xx

Thanks AussieBrid (love the pic btw ) I'm feeling much better today which is lucky cos I have a job interview! I was getting to the point where I was being very snappy and falling asleep all the time is not good when you have work to finish! But yeah I think I am through it now, it's weird the way pain can make you feel so ill, but I'm so grateful for feeling normal again now! xx

Cherry, so sorry to hear about your pain. I so feel for you. maybe the pain when flying is because your insides expand a little at high altitudes (like the way water bottles or tubes of make up etc do - did you ever notice that?) So it has pushed your organs together and started the intense pain? I know this doesn't acutal help, but it kinds makes sense to me.
I've also had severe pain sometimes when needing to pee around my period. It's severe when I need to pee and just as I start then it subsides while I'm actually peeing (sorry, tmi) and then is severe again as I stop. I'm thinking it is because contracting the muscle is what's causing the pain? Is yours anyway similar?
So glad you're feeling a bit better now. I hope things stay better for you.

Thanks scarlett, ochy and shona. I had some very sharp and nasty twisting pains today, but that massive pain has gone, so it's just the occasional twinges and peeing pain. Scarlett mine are just like you described, and the pain gets bad when my bladder gets anywhere near full. It's enough to make you reconsider that nice glass of water! That theory about expanding insides makes sense, cos your ears go nuts on flights and I usually come off the plane half deaf! I feel so cheery today and want to eat everything, yesterday was horrible cos I was out of it, so tired and confused and ratty and couldn't eat cos I felt sick. Going number two (tmi definitely!) was making my insides hurt terribly, I've never had that. I'm not due on a period either. I describe stuff best on here, probably cos i have a knowledgeable audience but I'm gonna print all of my comments and take them to the hospital on Monday! It's so nice to have you guys to talk to, chatting on here stops me thinking about how bad I feel in a way xx
