Really? That's odd! But, hey, glad they're back up where they should be!

Yeah I found it odd too but cool! My basal temps were in the low 96's for a while but now they're up an entire degree to the mid 97's! It's a HUGE difference. Now I want to know why vitamin D did this!

I've read that vitamin D supplementation can raise TSH levels, and thyroid function helps regulate body temperature. Think that's it, or is there more to it?

Does anyone else use fertility friend to chart temps? This month and last it hasn't given me a cross line for ovulation and says it wasn't detected, even though my temps are clearly up. I feel like if your temp rise takes more than one day it doesn't register on their chart. It doesn't really matter, but it is annoying the crap out of me!

I think everyone on here except for me uses fertility friend. I use www.medhelp.org , they have this tracking system where you can track all sorts of things like symptoms, sleep, stress, mood, and your basal body temps. I don't trust those little line things that these websites draw for you. You're technically supposed to correlate all of your body cues with the temps in order to get the most accurate interpretation of your temp charts. You can get really detailed and monitor your cervical mucous and cervical positioning (Karen is the resident expert on this stuff), but for me, I can actually FEEL when I ovulate so I just correlate the ovary pain with my temps. If I were you I would just interpret your graph based on what you know about your body. Those lines aren't as accurate as we'd like them to be.

I don't use FF, I use TCOYF. Is there a setting you can change so it'll track your coverline?

You can hardwire FF. I'll tried to find out how sometime today. I've done it, but can't remember. It's not such an intuitive site.
It's actually hard for me to know when exactly I ovulate either. I have about 7 - 10 days of bad, elevated pain around ovulation, and 3 - 4 days where it's nearly unbearable, so I don't know which of those days is the ovulation day, except by cervical mucus, and that is not oonsistent for me.

found it. Under the "analysis" tab, go down to "ovulation override".

Tee hee, "ovulation override" sounds like secret government weapon/mission. I'll look for that, thanks!

I switched it to the FAM mode, now it is working better. Karen, I wanted to use the TCOYF software with the book but it doesn't work on the Mac, so I switched over to FF. RM- what does your temp do? Do you have a clear rise, or a slow one, or none at all? Jenaya- my temp actually works pretty well except if it is a two-day rise. That is fortunate since I am terrible tracking CM and don't have any consistent pain with o. I do like when the line appears so I can say "ha, I knew it!" and feel good about my intuition.

HAHA yeah I hear ya! It's a lot of fun to see the line appear. My lines on medhelp have been incorrect in the past so I lost that excitement now. LOL I have been REALLY lazy on temping lately.

Mine actually keeps changing--it seems to be part of the acupuncture. My cycle and temp are undergoing lots of changes. But the past several months I've seemed to have a couple day rise (FF decides to draw the line about 3 - 4 days after I've actually ovulated). I then have a second rise about halfway through the luteal phase. Weird.

So I thought I'd attach this just because I think it's interesting. It's a "ribbon" of my cycles, with a couple before acupuncture to show my pre-acupuncture pattern, and then how it's changed. The vertical lines are the first day of my period. That really LONG cycle is when I first started acupuncture--my body went nuts! Attachments:

That's cool! It seems like it made your temps more stable. That is so interesting!
