Well I just got my test results back form the pregestrone test I took this morning, not good! I am very disapointed! I had a 6.8 and like most of you know it really needs to be above 10. I do know I ovulated this month because of other tests, so with the results of this test they told me if I am pregnant the chance of having a miscariage is high. Has any one else been told this? I thought endo does not cause problems with ovulation, so does any one have an idea of why this might be happening?

A lot of us with endo have other hormonal problems. Have you had your LH, FSH, prolactin, and thyroid hormones checked?

No, not that I know of? What do these hormones effect fertility wise? Is this something I should ask my Dr. about getting done?

Without a good LH:FSH ratio, you can't really have ovulation on-time, and sometimes it can lead to insufficient ovulation. The ratio is supposed to be about 1:1 (Mine was really messed up!). Basically, if ovulation is poor or not happening at all, the chances of getting pregnant are not so great, especially if it's not happening at all...no egg, nothing there to be fertilized...no baby. The other hormones can affect ovulation, too, so they're good to have checked. Usually, a few hormones are chcked from one blood draw. It's simple to just have the tests done to either find or rule-out a potential problem, so if your insurance covers it, that's where I'd start.

Thank you ouchy, When my Dr. calls back lo let me know what the next step is I will be asking to have these tests done! Thanks for the info. You said you ratio was really messed up, what did the Dr. recommend for you to do?

Hey, tiff. He put me on Metformin, which is a diabetic medicine (strange, huh! I don't have diabetes, but apparently, I have insulin resistance, as do many women w/ that type of hormone problem.) Anyway, the Metformin made me ovulate on-time. However, I decided to go off of it bc it leaches B vitamins and other vitamins and minerals from the body. I did my own little insulin resistance diet, and I ovulated on my own on day 16. Guess it worked, bc I'm pregnant now. I can't believe that allllllll these years since I was a little girl that's all my problem was! Keep us posted on what your doc. says. Good luck w/ everything!

I'll e-mail you instructions on posting the link to the chart. Actually, when I had my chem. pregnancy last year, I got a + test 5dpo! That means it had to implant before that to start secreting the hormone to cause the +! I had a dip 3dpo that time.
