I've not seen it mentioned around the site but thought it worth asking anyway. I accidentally had a period this week, having been so unbelievably busy didn't realise that I was forgetting to take my pill. Just lately, I have a lot of bloating, my tummy is generally 'pushed out' but worst is that I feel very squashed and cramped inside. Like all my inside bits are jostling for way too little space. As a result, I now get pain up near my ribs and can't eat much. I ate a nice big roast dinner on Sunday, but threw it all back up. No nausea beforehand, just when I'd finished I felt like the food was just 'sitting' and then very quickly had to go vomit it all back up. Same happened a few days later. No feeling sick before or after, just feeling like my abdomen is overpacked. The basic question is, does anyone else have a problem with getting so endo-bloated that you can't eat much in one go? I'm not sure whether to take this to the doc.

About a month after my first lap, I started vomiting after nearly every meal. I wasn't eating a large amount of food or anything, but I felt very very "full". About 30 minutes to an hour after a meal, I would feel nauseous and then immediately get sick. That sick/fullness feeling never lasted for more than an hour and after that I felt completely fine.
It never crossed my mind that this problem could be related to my endo. I went a saw my family doctor who referred me to a GI specialist. I had several tests done and the specialist finally said it was just "delayed digestion". Eventually the problem sort of went away by itself. I would occasionally get that "full" feeling but was hardly ever to the point of vomiting, although it did happen every once in a while. I can still only eat very very small portions. I get that full and bloated feeling after only a few bites. I can sense that feeling coming on so I stop eating. I think that may be the reason I haven't gotten sick to my stomach much lately.
I've been doing quite a bit of endo research lately and I finally found several reports of digestive problems related to endo. When I read those articles, everything sort of clicked and made sense in relation to the problems I have.
I haven't seen the GI specialist since my own figuring out of what the problems are, but I'm thinking of mentioning it to the endo specialist I'm seeing this week. It couldn't hurt to mention it!

Hmm.. Cherry, when was the last time you opened your bowels (sorry to ask, but as a nurse it is the most important question). Your symptoms could point to constipation or a bowel obstruction. Or alternatively you could be under a lot of stress (you say you have been very busy) maybe your having trouble holding food down because of that, I know when I've been very stressed/upset I haven't been able to tolerate much food at all and constantly felt full. :s

Digestive issue is back full force....I was looking for the thread I had posted I thought the title was afraid to eat? Not sure but this thread is just as good and Cherry seems to of describe it best. I am fully bloated again girls after everything I eat. It is everyday again! By 6 my tummy is out and in the morning I wake up it seems to go down but if I eat a solid food I am screwed. Anything even a gluten free product. Pain is worst at night:(

I feel ya Keri, I really do. This has been about my worst problem over the last few years since my symptoms started. Are you off dairy altogether?

Bummer Keri, I am too. I went to bed with dilatid last night, looking like I was expecting twins. I hate having Miralax for breakfast and dinner but I guess that's what I'm going to keep doing for now. Dr. Mosbrucker said it was a Small Bowel Obstruction causing the bloating. You should definitely get to the doctor. I know you have had some bad doctors along the way so don't' ignore this. Is there a good ER anywhere closish to you that you can go to? If mine hasn't calmed down after my breakfast of Miralax I may be going to the ER I work at. I know no one there has the knowledge to help me so I'm freaking out about having to go and try and convince doctors who won't help, and who don't know anything, so I feel for you!!

Oh I am sure it is a small obstruction....I do not run to ER's unless I am in awful shape. Miralax and liquids is the only fix anyways so I treat it as the GI doc has told me to. I hate it but it is just how it is for me. It will calm down for a little and flare back up. I am waiting on work to be able to take off and get this all fixed I need to get enough hours to be able to have a lap for this and the spots on my liver. Once I have the time it is my #1 priority. I do not like that I have to put it off but work has been less than understanding since I fell and had the arm injury. Although I am healed from that I can not control the rest of this with my crazy body and if I did not carry the benefits for me and my family I think it would be best to stop working but I can not do that now. Two reasons I work my patrons and insurance. When the time is right I will take care of this for now this is my life.

I'm new here, but I can speak to bowel issues! I had a stricture in my sigmoid (large bowel) and had a resection in Feb. In July I had a small bowel obstruction that was due to endo as well, that one resolved on it's own and my endo doc worked on it during my lap in Aug. Basically, both caused bloating and pain but the lower stricutre was more about the diarrhea/contipation. The small bowel made me feel full further up, and caused me to vomit for many hours before going to the ER (with a comical ride involving a big blue mop bucket my husband grabbed & put on my lap, just in case). I'd take the stricture over that any day, and believe me that was no picnic either! If you are vomitting, or can't pass gas, get your butt to the ER ASAP! KSA- I was terrified to eat for a while and especially during my next period, kept to lots of liquids and soft diet. So far so good since the lap. Is yours worse during certains times of the month? BTW, my toilet has obviously decided it is done with my bowel issues as the toilet lid came off in my hand yesterday!!
