One of my friends is getting married in Vegas in May and not alot of people can go so I want to do a elaborate shower for her. She is a that kinda girl too that is over the top in everyway. LOL~ Any ideas girls? I am of course doing all my research and love input from anyone. I have a few sites I am looking at and we have a historic thearter in Canton that can be rented out for events. I have to call and check if they could play the movie too. I think the invites could be tiffany blue movie tickets that say your invited to Stacey's Shower and a qoute from the movie I am in the early stages so its all just thoughts right now. When I get sick I get so bored and I plan a party LOL it always turns out amazing but I am always to sick to go! This one I have to make it! She will love it~
One of my favorite qoutes~ "I'm always top banana in the shock department." Holly Golightly

I am experimenting today with cake although I cant eat any. I also found these adorable cake pops...Really easy to make too. I can use donut holes and dip in white chocolate colored Tiffany Blue. I perfected the color today:)

Those are SUPER cute! What a good idea to use donut holes! Wish I would have thought of that for my friend's shower, instead of mashing cake in to balls and getting all nasty. LOL! CUTE! Sorry you can't eat any, though. I think that's what you meant.

The venue is picked and booking it for May 15th with the hopes that I will be able to eat then. I found adorable tiffany blue runners for the tables cute little diamonds scattered all over the tables. I'm going to use one table that I have that is a little different than the rest for Stacey to sit at with lots of bling lol she loves it. I have to keep it all a secret from her tho and it is so hard that is why I am posting it on here to vent it out lol I tell her everything and she knows she is having a shower bc I begged her to have one but have to keep all the details a hush hush. I know Ouchy you do alot of baking and have some amazing cakes if I recall. Party is for 20 to 30 we are make a cake that looks like the tiffany bag or box not sure yet, the cake pops and cupcakes your expertise may come in handy. Im great with organization a presentation of a party baking tho for me is confusing I get the recipe all messed up. I can make it look good but no taste well. That is why the donut holes seem easier. What did you use at the stick? I found really coold jars I can fill with candy make it very elegant. A early lunch I firgured cake, cake pops, cupckakes and my friend has a cottlon candy machine so we ca use that too Light Hordorves and Mimoso's and Belinni's. my theme is she is the start with the hat and the rest dress its so her. We supply the champame and she wants it to be barware for gifts I thalked he into it so I think adorble Maritng glasses at Tiffany as the give. i think am going in the right direction. I want it elegant not cheap looking.

Keri, you have some simply amazing ideas! If you need to carve the bag, use a pound cake recipe. I have a great wedding cake recipe if you need. For the cake balls I did, I actually didnt' put them on sticks. I put them in little cupcake holders. I dipped first in one color, then another color for the other side, turned them upside down in the cupcake holders, sprinkled with edible glitter, and then when everything was dry, I peeled the wrapper off so that the bottom color was a very cool texture. But the sticks are so cute, too! And probably wayyyyy less messy!

If you want to use any of the edible, fancy and elegant dragees (spelling?), those little silver candy ball things, they're illegal to sell (not illegal to actually have them) in most states, but I know a lady who still sells them and ships them.

My girlfriend found the edible little balls in tiffany blue. The sticks to me kinda look childesh so i may take your advice. Use the cupcake holders but use the sticks to dip them in the chocolate.

Ah. Yes. It's only the silver ones that are illegal. Some environmentalist sued the state out here since the silver ones contain trace amounts of silver, even though no one has ever been sick from them. Other states followed CA. They're so pretty!

If u use the sticks just to dip, you may get a little "dip" where the stick hole has been covered up w the chocolate. You could just put a little blue ball on top where the dent is. That would be cute!
